    The best card sharp of all time passed away earlier this year. Ricky Jay was relentless in his pursuit of perfection. He practiced with cards while he watched TV, while he stood in line at the bank, while he sat in a movie theater. Nobody will ever be as good as him. He was bannedd from every casino on the planet because he could cheat and they would never spot it even if they were looking right at it. He had a one-man show on Broadway doing card tricks called Ricky Jay and His 52 Assistants. It's on YouTube. He had the largest collection of antique magic books in the world. I would have loved to meet him but he was a very private person and even his friends didn't see him very often.
