In this thread, I am going to copy out what some of the well known regular authors have shared and give my honest opinion good or bad. There is loads of good info relating to Baccarat reading through some of the old threads and so putting some of it here in one place will help me to crystallize my thoughts and it may help me to read a few of them before I play a session of baccarat just to concentrate the mind.

I will start with this one from Yungleh in his ''baccarat, the best small business'' thread.

''People talk about patience and discipline to win at the game. Sit down and ponder. My take is that you have to have peace. You cannot have patience without having the peace in you. You cannot have discipline without the peace in you.

When you are at peace, you have the patience to wait for the trend or randomness you are good at. When you are at peace you have the discipline to stop when you have to.'' Yungleh.

I agree with this, several people have talked about the chimp on your shoulder when gambling. Looking back to a lot of my gambling, I have lost heavy when distracted or in a type of frenzied state (especially when younger)

A simple technique that always works well for me is to just walk around the casino for 5-10 minutes instead of just jumping right in to play. I always make sure I have time on my hands and don't need to win inside the first 30 minutes and then rush out of the joint. The game will provide what I am looking for when it's good and ready and having that peace of thought will certainly help to be patient.

Just remember the old saying... ''fools rush in where angels fear to tread''.

No it's not, if you don't have an edge and you are losing, it doesn't harm to either take a break or just get up and leave.

Correct if you don't got a winnings style then it don't matter. The only thing about minds-set what matter is having the recreational player minds-set or the minds-set of a serious cat looking to make an income from the proposition. And from what i seen most cats can't make the transtion from recreational player to serious cat, hey hey.

The most obvious edge lies with the AS 3 and the positive progression as follow up .

That might suit you, but it wouldn't go down well with my style. My game is all about anything that's consecutive.
Matching it up with the right MM and I am good to go. As an instance, you would think mixing the dozens at roulette with a labby would be a recipe for disaster and it probably would if you were using one in the traditional sense. Now how about if you could get your W/L registry to come out along the lines of WWWLLL more often than not and you also used a labby string. It's a match made in heaven.

Stick with your as3 or as4? It's probably about the best you can do given the circumstances.
