So I recently managed to get a copy of this book, and while the first few shoes played amounted to a small reasonable sum, my next 3-4 shoes played lost quite a bit.

Considering the dynamics of the game; winning cycles, losing cycles, adhering to stoploss triggers - to the point, as described that only a three unit profit can be established per shoe.
Therefore, I am still a little bit lost using this method, considering one would have to play dozens and dozens of shoes using a low base-bet, in order to notice a small profit.
(And yet still be behind as instructed in the book: continue playing until 3 unit win OR until a 10 unit loss) Hmm, 10 unit loss per shoe?

If anyone has successfully used this strategy, please add a comment to assist my understanding. In particular my 2 questions below:
1 how many shoes would I need to play to overcome the losses as the book describes?
2 is it correct to gain the three units win, even when your losses are huge, and then stop and move on to the next shoe? (Eg; without playing further on that particular shoe)

For the moment I am taking a long break. I am hoping the comments are encouraging, thanks.

Don't have any knowledge of Boss strategy so can't comment. As for the stop Win/Loss, it depends. If you use a progression, than your stop loss is less than stop win. If you flat bet than you should win more than you lose unless situation does not permit you to do so. A bit of description of the strategy will get you more answers.

If you started reading a chess book while playing in a chess tournament do you think you would win.learn how to play before you bet any money,or your education will be very exspensive with no guarantee in the end that you will be a consistent winner.

Thanks for your response Craps. Yes it is flatbetting up to the stoploss of 3 consecutive failed bets.
I am really relying on somebody out there who knows this strategy well. (Whether a thumbs up or thumbs down). So for the moment I won't post anything more regarding details. Still a bit of a grey area to me.
