This old guy goes to the casino almost everyday. He surveys around. He talks to fellow players. He almost never makes a bet. When he finally bets, he only risk 1 bet. If he losses, he quits. If he wins, he will bet some more. One day he has $25,000 in front of him. I asked him what happened. Did you finally come to gamble? He said he was waiting for this day all along. Can't expect me to lose all the time.
What he does is his stop loss is 1 bet S100. If he gets up to $500 back to S300, he quits too. He told me although time means nothing but since we had to have other things in life, we need to organize things day by day. WHY PLAY ON A LOSING DAY EVEN IT IS ONE UNIT ? WHY NOT PLAY ON A WINNING DAY ONLY. You know you are coming to the casino almost everyday. Whether the money is with the casino OR with me does not matter. The day I drop dead matters. Your gambling money is YOURS & MINE with the casinos.
That statement I only play on a winning day is forever in my mind. What do you guys think?

Well you have to give yourself a chance to win even in the face of adversity. You can’t quit and leave just because you lost your first 2 bets. It’s foolish

Yes but only about 00001% of the casino patrons, we have a similar story here in skippy township, there are a group of old ladies that go in every day they pool some chips, take turn at the table etc on different days , they sort of have a competition amongst themselves , suppose it breaks the boredom but they have a great time and yes they make profit some weeks. They are Asian so they tend to play against the loser ofr with the winner etc. One of them will only play player ,when it’s her day driving as she refuses to be payed half price banker, fair point she figures.
They are usually gone before 6 pm as that’s when the funstars roll in. Cheers

that old man could probably teach us a thing or two. the most simplistic or most stupid ideas often hide much wisdom. he obviously feels that this very first win, or lost can impact a player mindset. if you are down a large unit you must now make up a 100% to place you on the winning side.
maybe he knows wins attract more wins just like the other way around does. anyhow I would not judge his decision making process unless I see that he loses much more then he wins. Regards

Seems the old guy was a master of the above quote. Most craps said he loses is 1 bet yet he leaves then come back another day . Then if he’s Winning per original post then he s hit pay dirt.
Seems like the 4 basic principles at work by the old guy, unit size is probably not relevant. Cheers

Ha!Ha! You can't get off Flat Betting just like I can't get off Martingale. One day you will find out ThEY ARE THE SAME. Only the characteristics are different. Losing or winning a bet with Flat Betting are both as easy but with Martingale ,losing a series of bets are difficult and winning a bet is too easy. The trade off is one bust requires a lot of wins. Must think both ways.
What does old man does is there will be days where you can out do losses by 2 to 1 or more. That's the day he will play . He does lock up guaranteed wins in stages. Think about this. He can't lose more than 1 unit a day. Powerful!!!
Actually,I suddenly have this light bulb moment that a new approach I am going to discuss once I put everything together. I wish all of you could help me perfect it. Cheers.

    You missed the point again.
The point is not method you craps or me punkcity advocate. The point is whatever you do whoever read this has a higher chance of success by incorporating the the 4 pillars/ column s / foundation stones , principals . Try to comprehend what you read. There is no subtle or blatant crack at you craps , the example in open thread post TO ME is the man had a plan , he had a bankroll, he had a rule , he lost he go home he win he wins. He even tells you by your example. Where is the flat bet vs Marty is more successful reference , in any of the posts this thread?
    None
    Pretty fucking simple .
Yes as per this quote he did do something very powerful and that’s the point how he got to that position.
Glad you had a brain wave , light bulb moment for your next sortie. And I’m sure many here will be able to help.
    But
Get over the Marty vs flat bet bullshit , it’s holding you back . I really don’t see the issue I’ll do what I do , you do what you do and we will both reap the rewards from the degenerate gamblers that keeps the system going for us. You win? Yes , then what’s your problem?
I win ? Yes I don’t really care what you do to achieve it. Are you living the dream? Yes ? Then why should anything else matter? Vegas , golf , no tax , no rain .
    Cheers

    Ok here’s a quick question
Can you do what he did?
    If so why?
    If not why ?
Not a loaded question, if you advocate a Marty not a problem, could you ever see yourself doing what he does?
    Cheers

His initial bet is 1unit , BUT to get to $25k he’s a progressive betting ie he’s chipping up or even running a small Marty with the day’s profit, he’s not flat betting to $25 k unless his unit size is $5 k or more.
At $100 flat bet ( bet size per your post ) to $25 k is over 250 wins on a dealer table winning every hand for 3 shoes at 2 hrs per shoes if lucky as the table size would grow as more people follow bet him etc your looking at a 4 hour per shoe. No he’s progressive betting and probably jagging ties and perfect pairs as well as normal banker player etc.

Another poster this forum mentioned $400 to $900000 from exotic bets, so no it is more than reasonable to Assume the old man is not betting flat to $25k , but if you Craps claim he won as a pure flat bet scenario then I will stand corrected by you. Cheers

There really are things we can learn from this old man's approach.

    1.
Extremely organized. Ultimate stop loss. Flexible stop/win with "aiming for the sky's the limit mentality" which is head over heels over systems players.

    2.
Using one day one unit bankroll to control time and pace. Takes care of the "winning many days and give it all back in one day" AND Locking up that Big Win day profits and RESET without giving the casino the chance to get it back.

    3.
Only needs to manage the $$$ at start and the crucial part where he is striving to get to the "launching pad". Once he reached there, it's fun. profits and game on.

As for me, I don't play like that because I am not good enough. I don't pay too much attention to patterns because I don't care. I use the bet selection that I predetermined and rely on Martingale to gave me the probability. The triggers that I used are very complicated and not completely fallacies because I do employed this thing called MANUFACTURED PROBABILITY which I am going to disclose later. This style of play suits me because I lived in a Casino town. The strip is just 20 mins away. 8 units a day is just a few hours of work.

    Good post
I wouldn’t be able to do it either to be completely honest, for mine it seems a retirement strategy , as I posted about the old aunties that do it here.
That is by no means trying to belittle the post or the old mans method. As stated it’s a powerful approach.
I understand why you can’t do it as the Marty final bet win doesn’t allow for the continued ( potential) win streak because that breaks your rules. You target you win you leave to watch for next trigger. Where’s the old guy can stay on the potential win streak until last bet loses then ends , count the winning, then leave.
    Cheers

    Hi Craps,

Please do describe the "Manufactured Probability " bet selection method you developed. Thank you for sharing your wisdom to "us" players that uses the martingale.

This was an assumption on my take of the post on the other thread due to the extensive write up of p4vb4 exotic plus payouts

It is not always winning or losing to define one's method or approach. It is how organized and effective it is when things were to go either way. The defense part is ultimate. To allow only one loss will guarantee longevity in his approach. To give oneself the opportunity to hurt the house with the house money is easier to said than done but at least the aim is there. As for winning a few units and quitting do come often when situation is not permitting. I therefore give him credit for all these qualities he had thought out and put them in use.
