Can you place different/higher bets on a roulette table (with a live dealer) vs. an electronic roulette table?

Long story short, I want to play several roulette systems that I have seen on YouTube, however most of the time, I’m unable to place the exact same unit bet on an electronic roulette table. For example the electronic roulette table will not let me place enough units on a column bet in order to win any money, it will only allow me to place just enough units to have a “push” if any of the numbers in the column bet wins, since most of the systems I'm trying to use call for the use of placing a bet on at least (1) one column, while placing a bet on some of the other numbers (that are not in the selected column). Yet I had heard that if I play the exact same system on a roulette table with a live dealer, then I will be able to play my desired amount of units on a column and select my desired numbers (that are not in the selected column), to win money and not get a "push". Whereas an electronic roulette table often has various unit play restrictions, so often I am unable to play those YouTube systems with the exact same amount of units on the electronic roulette tables.

In my case on the systems I want to play, I just want to add several units to a column bet (so it will not turn into a “push” if a number in the column wins). Since I can't do most of these bets on an electronic roulette table, I was wondering if you think I can do these bets on a roulette table with a live dealer?

Never heard of this unless you hit table limits, so i suggest not playing there again and go test other tables, There's many out there that will allow you to do what you need to do, everyone else is able to.

I was on a uk table live about 30yrs ago and we couldn't progress on the same 1/1 bet more than 3 times, it was a weird rule and they got rid of it due to losing costumers.

Hello there, RouletteTools. Thank you for your very helpful reply. Now that I have experimented on the electronic roulette tables for over a year, I guess I’m almost ready to play roulette on a table with a live dealer. Mainly I just wanted to see what others may think or offer advice about how I want to play on a table with a live dealer (making my desired bets without being forced to place bets that can only lead to a "push"), before attempting to make my desired bets. Since playing on a roulette table with a live dealer will be a totally new experience for me, I just kinda want to know (beforehand) if my bets would be allowed, to try to save any potential embarrassment of the dealer telling me that I can only make column bets that will turn into a “push”.

I still need to learn some of the basic etiquette of playing with a live dealer, then once I learn the basics, I will give playing with a live dealer a try. Since I would be new to playing with a live dealer, all of my bets will be far less than the table max bet amount. I think my local casino minimum roulette table play amount is $10, but I'm not sure of the max play amount. But I probably would never play over $200 per spin, and I doubt this low amount would be anywhere near the max bet.

Thank you so very much for your help, and the very useful information. :)

I play tables but always check airball and live dealer terminals. In Atlantic City where I live and play and I play daily, any electronic betting will not allow you to play any combinational bets that will let you hit and run.
Either the machine will not accept your wager or it will say on the screen,
"Bet Volatility Too Low". This stops most players from differential betting or hedging as you are trying to do. None of the terminals allow to you to use comp dollars or earn comp dollars or tier points for obvious reasons that are easy to understand. Bottom line, always play tables, they will take your action and couldn't care less how you place your chips. The more you put on the table the happier they are. But if you have a $200 bet limit, just don't play at all, find another hobby. Good luck

juice, thank you very much for your reply. The information that you shared is very helpful. Based on the electronic roulette tables that I have played here at the various tribal casinos here in Southern California, they also seem to all be set to not allow players any combinational bets that will let them hit and run.

Yet it is good to learn from you and other members in our forum here, that I should be able to place the bets I want at a roulette table with a live dealer.

Once I learn some of the basics of playing at a roulette table with a live dealer, I would like to start off with very small bets until I feel comfortable with what I’m doing, again since I have never played roulette at a table with a live dealer before. Yet unless I incur a lot of losses in a row, I don’t think I would have to worry about getting to a point of spending up to $200+ per spin/hand (this would be one of the worst cases if this happened to me). Yet mainly, I’m going to try to play as near to the table minimum as I can, until I win enough times before trying to place larger bets.

Thank you again for all of your help and advice. I appreciate it. :)
