I have no interest in doing a poll question. Thanks to Bayes, I thought of a great question >>

    Which would you rather play?

At an ACTUAL casino (00 wheel). Its only one mile from your home, $5 min bets. OR

play on-line (0 wheel) RNG only. Your preference is?

    Either.
If I had to I would rather sit and play at a table though, even though it's annoyingly slow for what I do.

maybe I should expand on RNG

I consider online live dealer to be suspect too...although Dublin bet looks real, I dont trust the live connection.

Jesus....I have a fantastic broadband connection. Goes down 2 times per year if that.

I have been on Dublin and placed a bet that won a lot of money and the connection cut just before it spun. I even chatted to admin and they said there was no record of me placing that bet. The casino may be real but the online version is a different thing.

If I put £5 on 24 in a land based casino...even at Fitzpatrick Casino where Dublin Bet is streamed from, I will be paid.

Its a black box situation. There is no way of really knowing whats in the black box.

Land based casino...well you are just up against dealer signatures (if you believe in that) or unfair payouts (believe that one please)

The mechanism and delivery of the random number tied in with the payouts for your chip on the baize is not an issue.

    It is an issue online

BINGO, agreed. Interesting fact >> I have played there (Celtic) for years, fake money and never once cut off. Strange how that works.

I would love to see a stat from Celtic.....betting big units (real money) and how often cut off COMPARED to people betting fake money and cut off.

Online casinos simply aren't trustworthy. They're predatory. If everyone read their online policies then they wouldn't play.

7.1. Celtic Casino reserves the right to suspend, modify, remove and/or add any service in its sole discretion with immediate effect and without notice and Celtic Casino will not be liable for any such action.

7.2. Celtic Casino forbids the use of all unfair practices when using its services. We do this to protect our customers and the integrity of the services. If any customer is found to be participating in any form of activities that we consider to constitute cheating his or her account may be permanently closed and any balance may be at risk of forfeiture or withholding as per the Terms and Conditions.

7.3. Players suspected of card counting contrary to our terms and conditions will have their accounts placed on hold while the Fraud Team investigates. If card counting is determined to have occurred, players may be eligible to have their original deposits returned only, but will not receive any funds won during this activity.

7.5. Celtic Casino is intended for recreational players only and any players found to be abusing any rule or regulation, professional bettors, syndicates, or any person having systematic betting strategies will be subject to having their account suspended, their earnings removed and their deposit refunded.

Systematic betting strategies??? Are you friggin serious!!!

    Celtic casino's policies are disgusting.
Why on earth would anyone want to risk real money there? All they have to do is accuse of you of violating their policies and they will freeze your money! Good luck on getting paid if you when much there.

Online gambling is basically just a regressive tax, like smoking, that exploits the poor, and ignorant.

Since there's no "systems" or "strategies" that work (as some here have said) - then why are they so scared of them ?
    Hmm.

Because some systems are better than random betting

They want recreational players. That's it

I have friends that play on betonline.ag They have decent reviews and no one I know has had a problem getting paid.

    Ghost,

The only thing dumber than playing online in other countries is playing online here in the US. I hope your friends aren't here in the US because they can refuse to payout if they have reason to believe that your playing their games from here in the US.

4.2. Celtic Casino does not accept wagers or allow residents domiciled in the US and/or using US issued bank cards to use our web site.

Regarding the system claim. Don't you understand, they can use that catch phrase to refuse paying anyone. It's vague, it's open as an excuse. There aren't any systems for beating the random game of roulette, just the wheel. It's a great excuse to use in order to keep some of the larger wins!

Casinos like Celtic are VERY predatory! Basically they're like drug dealers for the addicted!

Granted, I know they can choose not to payout for any reason as we have no control over casinos in Costa Rica

Just saying what experiences we have had

I get what you are saying. I'm not naive. They can claim any win is a "system" based win and refuse to pay

WTF Are your friends sick? Do they have a gambling problem? That's screwed up! They're obviously consistent losers. Be sure to show them the fine print.

Yikes, the anti-system people's heads might explode. Granted it's true - they just don't believe that.
Nothing changes the house edge on 1 spin, so nothing can change the house edge on any number of spins, regardless of how you play.... yep... they'll say that.

Some systems are better than others. For example hot number systems on LIVE wheels are better than cold number systems.

However, "systems" to the casino can mean anyone that they would rather not pay. I know you'd like it to mean something different, but I assure that it does not.

I dont know if they are scared of systems per se....just keen to keep their HE and hold at 50% (guess) by having a "pull the plug" option.
They dont have to wait for the punters to hit the hold recycle average of 5 times like the LBC's do
Why wait with 1000's of losers taking up bandwidth when you can have a disconnect programme built in.

    Love that !
It's like the radio station here that I listen to - they have contests and once per day or so they "speed read" the rules (I'm sure it's some legality they have to do). It's funny - when it's over it seems almost impossible for anyone to win - and if they do win, there's always a loophole built in regardless of the circumstance that they can refuse to award a prize. It always makes me laugh.
Fox News had a stock market contest where I was ahead in first by a huge margin over everyone else. Then they deleted my account and said basically the same thing in a email. They just decided that since I was in first by so large a gap, I must have been doing something that broke the rules but they wouldn't give me a specific violation. I'll have to find that email, it was hilarious.

At the end of the day it's a business

They put that in their terms so that they can use the nuclear option at anytime

    They want to protect themselves

That doesn't mean they do it often

I personally know people that withdraw winnings every month and are "up"

If they use the nuclear option on everyone they will have bad reviews and no one will play there

Thousands of people successfully play online

What is suspect is when the video feed disconnects. Very suspect

Nonetheless the games have a house edge they really don't NEED to cheat
