Poker Determine Real Value of Starting Hand

    This may help novice players (maybe even the "experienced") players.
    First costly $$$ mistake for many players is determine if they should la their starting hand!

    Example: K J ??
    You should of course be asking...depends!

    Try this, give a ranking based on your position (most important), assume UTG (first to act), rate that BAD.
    rate your hand K J... MEDIOCRE....say to yourself: BAD - MEDIOCRE! Now make your decision!

    Q 3 = BAD BAD, now make your decision.
