Do you have a good paying job? Are you a Businessman or have a Professional career? Do you have substantial disposable income? Do you like to gamble and take risks? Do you enjoy the thrill of gambling?
How much do you treat going to Casino as a getaway and enjoy everything it offers. Do you REALLY want to win so much so you would make drastic outlook to gambling?

Most players goes to casinos on a Busman holiday. It may be a gambling trip with no other nonsense and the aim is to win. These are the people that contribute most to the casino. The reason is because they are on a mission. They are going to battle with a -EV game which means they are facing an uphill task or head wind right away. How does -EV in Baccarat works? THEY DON'T BREAK YOU EVERY TIME. THEY DO LET YOU WIN slightly less than the time THEY DON"T LET YOU WIN. Brick & Mortar Casinos don't go to you. You go to them. PERIOD.
When you reach the casino after a long drive or flight. YOU NEED to settle down especially for those player who wish to stay overnight. Enjoy the room, the pool, the restaurants. You should ONLY start your session at night on your first day after dinner. You may survey the casino during your arrival day but do not play. Get comfortable with the surroundings even though you are a regular. What if you lose? That will set a tone and that's a no no.

My way of playing the game with SEE HOW IT GOES with just discipline and control.

Divide you session Bankroll into 2 portions. 2nd. bankroll unit DOUBLE the 1st bankroll unit. Have a minimum and maximum bet preferably 1 unit to 5 units.
Example: buy in for $1000 playing FLAT BETTING for at least 1 shoe with $25 unit. Chart more and play less. No FOMO ( fear of missing out ) Keep telling yourself DID NOT WIN IS BETTER THAN LOSING. Always alert and the aim is to warm up. Yes. gambling this way NEEDS warm up. After the first shoe , you can varied your bets from 1 unit to 5 units.
IF you lose the $1000 bankroll, take a break for at least an hour. Best is get out of the casino. Resume with a $2000 bankroll playing with $50 units 1 to 5 units.

When you feel or anticipate a trend, follow it. Lose 1 and stop. If you win keep following. After the trend ends and you are ahead, DO NOT START MANUFACTURING ANOTHER NEW TREND. This is the very reason people win slow and lose fast. Same thing. DID NOT WIN IS BETTER THAN LOSING.
    Example:
BB PP BB PP BBB P B PP

After observing BB PP B your are convinced to follow the terrible 2's and won the next five hands but lost once after that because B went 3 x. B PP BBB. Now you manufacture because you are ahead and getting cocky thinking of a B run and force a 4th B which never comes. Overall BB PP BB PP BBB P. You chart 5 hands won the next 5 and lost the next 2. You manufacture again thinking the previous P has a second or stick losing another bet. BB PP BB PP BBB P B. Same thing the last B sticks and you bet B and it came P.
BB PP BB PP BBB P B P. Now you got furious with 4 losses in a row and without hesitation you looked at the hands and say NOW THE SHOE IS CHOPPING BECAUSE last 3 hands is P B P all singles. You bet big on B for it to chop only to lose on P.

BB PP BB PP BBB P B PP. Does all this sounds familiar? I am not saying things will play out like that for everyone BUT the lesson here is DON"T manufacture trends after a winning trend has ended. This is common because either the player is chasing his losses OR getting cocky because he is ahead. When you are at the table playing, YOU ARE NOT AWARE OF ALL THESE SITUATIONS UNLESS YOU ARE AN OBSERVER ON THE SIDELINES KEEPING TRACK OF YOUR DOINGS.

Yes more thanks, this is the post that one would direct other posters to read especially the second half as the top is or should be common knowledge.
That is the professional Marty I’m talking about in our context dialogue.
As with all things human we do have our down days and that’s why you have backup bankroll.
    Good post.
    Cheers

On the other hand if you are in a casino town like me or you are those making daily trips to casinos and needed to go to a day job in the morning, you better off be a method type player. Less decisions making will simplify the process. Not only that. The ease of controlling time when to leave is utmost importance. If you are waiting for your transportation to go home, please get out of the casino floor. Don't hang around. Evil forces at work all over the place meaning you will bump into a table showing delicious trends which causes you to deviate. Again. DID NOT WIN IS BETTER THAN LOSING. A must have motto to keep greed off.
If you belong to this type of player, your daily win/loss cannot be flexible. It has to be structured. You have to use some sort of Money Management preferably a progression of some sort. A method player simply look for entry points to win a unit. Never see how it goes. He is only interested to accomplish what he is set out to do. He is not there for anything else.
If you can only go to the casino on your day off and be a see how it goes player, then you have to be prepared with a possible Marathon session. This is the type of player that separate the men from the boys. The advantage player with a different skill level. Skill in this case is not B or P . Skill in accessing every situation he is in. The losing days are not devastating but the winnings days are a plenty with occasional big wins.

Craps that example you wrote is nothing but too familiar for most players. for what ever this is worth there aren't too many situations in this game where you find a "guaranty, " a 100% chance of closing the books with a win.
    I know that what I am going to write may sound too idiotic because of its simplicity and that many will argue the following statement but there it is;
stoping after a "win", a hit, a + creates more wins in the long run.
once you have the upper hand and show you are on the "profit" side , that is the only time you can lock a win and never ever put it at risk, unless you continue playing hoping for more wins.
but who said you have to ? that is the only guaranty ,the 100% of the time when you can end that session with profit.
stopping after a win, creating interruptions within a Marty makes a difference long term.
    my two cents

Good catch. Glad you are in the same boat as me. Locking up the profit is important . By not abusing your Marty is the key. You only lose on Perfect Storm situation. Remember you are the Terrorist going to war with the mighty American Army. How do you do damage? Sucker Punch your way to win. Don't forget you need to do one more thing. Have the Law of Averages on your side too meaning to find bet selections that are the lesser side of imbalances. This way, the House is going against probability for you to lose. Good Luck.

patience is not even a "should have it", but a "must have it". I often asked the question to some players ,"you just drove a hour to your casino, and made a nice win within the first 45 minutes", what do you do next ?
I know some will said "well I just go home and call it a day".
some may just "I am going to raise my base bet and use the house money to win more"
or others would just keep 50% of 75% of wins and play with the 30.50% left.
it is not always a good spot to be in if you dont allready have a plan ahead of time.
but these are decisions that are crucial to a player and if he gets greedy or cocky he may end up at the cleaner real quick.
I personally dont like giving much back at all. I can easily drop my base bet much lower and play some more just in case I lose the next game and that way cant get hurt badly. yes of course I could keep on winning but at thise point I am more preoccupied in damage control then anything else.
I think using new trigers for every new attempt at a Marty,(dont need to be agressive) is key as you said, never doing the same thing over and over or we become predictable instead of the game. even looking at 2 identical blocks of five ,and knowing that a third one is likely not to show up will be a losing proposition if we do it every single time.
and that is why writing and documenting your plays are important.
every play we do should be unknown to the enemy if we are going to be the ones to hit the casino, not the other way around.
the less we play the more we win, the more we play the less we win, very counterintuitive .

That's what being an advantage player makes all the difference. Ordinary players are too caught up with situations. How well do you cherished your winnings and when you are giving them back how did you give them back? Why playing when you are ahead with playing when you are behind shows differences? You have to win over yourself first. You are like a transmission of a car. Be able to switch gears to adapt to driving conditions. For gambling it's either play tight or play loose. Decide how you want to play tight and how do you want to play loose. When do you need to play every hand. When playing should be limited to specific situations only. All these comes from years and years of playing. It's under the adage called CONTROL. Some players don't care about it. Some never learn because they are too stubborn or giving too much excuses. The problem is the wrong can turn out right but in the long run, we need to be the best we can.. Will touch on what to look for to prepare those Marty Plays.

Are you playing with 'see how it goes' on a bus man holiday or short casino stint? You need to have numerous ways of slowing down when things are not doing well. To play tight is very generally speaking. But how? What actions needs to be taken to define tight? Lower wagers? Less hands played? Take free hands? Do virtual bets? Stop loss? Change tables? All the above are correct but most of the time emotions set in and all is forgotten. How do the emotions got to you? It's because there will be wins along the way BUT those wins are there to instigate you to bet higher. The so called Dare to Win folks would be too quick to pull the trigger. Let the wins come naturally by way of some degree of ease. If you need to fight for a win, better not do it. This is called accessing the situation. Sitting out hands is a tough thing to do. I usually use a method called "forced sit out" meaning I have to adhere to certain rules in order to get to play. I find it effective because you have to follow a certain action and that literally take the guesswork of when to bet again. Now you are controlling the bad patch that is going on. So what are the rules. Simple. Instead of sitting out hands without for sure how much or how long, we do a 6 card rule bet. We are going to wait for 6 cards hands only meaning both B and P is drawing a 3 rd card. You will find that the wait could be long but not too long and at the same time there is some amount of waiting. Perfect to slow your game down in a controlled manner. I always believe that the side that out draws the other side is the stronger side and that helps me make decisions.
I can't tell you when to bet B or P because LUCK is the deciding factor. But we can position ourselves to be lucky by planning and controlling the situation.
