Roulette double dozen/column progression

    That's a negative progression. You can expect it to kill off your bankroll.

    Look at this. You know that the odds say that you will win two times for each loss. That's not 100% accurate, I know. So the break even is to win two times for each lost bet. Now you apply RR to this and you try to have a positive progression from two, or three, or four in a row that are winners.

    Step one is $20 & $20
    Step two is $30 & $30
    Step three is $45 & $45
    Step four is $65 & $65
    Step five is $100 & $100

    You take $400 for your bankroll and you have money for 10 attempts to make $260 on the win. You don't need all the steps in one pass. You can cobble them together in stages. I often see 10 times the same dozen sleeping. I see the stretches' of singles all the time. That's where RR comes in handy. But you should know this. You will encounter patches of perfect losses in streaks also. You must account for this. It's the very same reason that you would get killed off by your negative progression. If it's not working then do something else. Don't keep digging a hole for yourself.

    For those with some education you should apply a little of John Patrick's "Up & Pull" to this to increase the number of tries. If you apply situational awareness found in Reading Randomness then you might notice that you have no problem reaching step two. So that is where you run the Up & Pull. It's takes an education to apply this. Nothing is for free. You must do the work of reading what has already been given away for free. After that the steps with these changes becomes logical for each session and its unique characteristics.

    bet 1-1 win okey
    bet 3-3 one time win or lose
    again bet 1-1 unit lose
    1-1 until you win

    +3 units go home.

    GLC had given good advise on the follow the dozen method .

    Either the stationary 2 dozens or follow the dozens method is recommended and sleeping dozens

    avoided .

    I've been experimenting with phony-money over the last week with a "Momentum Progression", which in effect is a Grand Martingale, resulting in 1 unit profit for each round played:

    Whether the round wins or loses, continue betting 1-1 2-2 3-3 4-4 5-5 6-6...etc. Reset to 1-1 on a new high profit that matches the rounds played. So, if you've played 8 rounds in the sequence, wait until an increased new high of 8 units before resetting to 1-1.

    It makes money fast, but it can occasionally go deep-stack on the lows before recovery, 120 units at worst so far in my trials, so this requires a 200 unit buy in. Probably smarter though to just go 100 unit buy-in though and accept the occasional BUST, because at 1 unit profit per round minimum, recovering the 100 units doesn't take long.

    Try it with phony-money and see how it works for you.

    For Bet Selection, I've tried:

    1. Follow the Dozen
    2. Two fixed Dozens
    3. 24 contiguous neighbors

    Inconclusive so far which of these three works best.

    I'm not recommending anyone bet real money with anything I've posted here. I'm just contributing it as an idea. That's all. Maybe someone who's smart with computers and spread sheets could quickly plug the numbers in here to see how this works over 1000 spins, or whatever, to see if this would be worth it.

    I like gizmatron's advice about RR. I haven't tried his MM progression yet, but I like it, and want to try the Positive Progression.
