For those of you that are from Rio Linda let me explain. It is not saying "money" is the root of all evil. It is saying that the love of money is the root of many evils.

You can beat a casino with logic. But you can't protect yourself from the love of money, greed, by keeping your brain in a sling. These are two different things. I maintain that for me it takes dealing with both in order to truly win. You can win the game and lose what really matters.

Most people start out with wild forms of wishful thinking where the Martingale progression is going to change their life forever. This is wishful thinking powered by a lack of self control. It's the first trap. The thought of treating a casino as your own personal ATM machine is a very powerful dream. If you want to mature as a gambler then you must deal with this. I don't suggest running away from it or falling for some lame guilt trip. You need to deal with it, not kowtow to it. You will never be happy if you try to save yourself. That's the second mistake. You can shut off the belief that you need to win. It takes a lifetime of experience to know what the truth is for sure and to know when someone else wants to control you, like some "turn or burn" preacher. Someone with far more wisdom said "I have come to set you free." He meant from these jerks that want to enslave you with religious dogma. Don't fall into that trap either. Don't drink the Kool-aid.
