Poker fold instead of showing mucked cards?

    I almost always fold when I know I have a losing hand instead of checking to avoid showing my mucked cards. I'm pretty sure this is just standard yet I see so many checking and giving away their hand ranges. Whats up with that?

    I do it to makes sure I did not make a mistake and lose a hand, I've seen it so many times that they can know my "range" if it will win me hands
