Intro hi everyone

Greetings everyone !

I have been a harness racing handicapper for 30 years and began playing video poker maybe 3 years ago. I live in the Midwest. Looking forward to learning from you all and sharing when I can.

Because another member is watching reading your posts and having your posts on there news feeds. Harness races are fun. I have not gone to the horse track in a long time and Maywood track is so close.

 

Thanks for that bit of information, but I don't know why anyone would watch me, I haven't posted anything. Maybe they are waiting for me to start posting my hot picks...lol. Harness races are fun, you should go again. I see Balmoral is closed for good as of a week or so ago.

 

Balmoral is closed for good? How did that happen?

 

Lack of slots at the track, waning interest from the public, political indifference, and good old fashioned corruption . I think Maywood is done for good also now that I think about it. I never followed the Illinois tracks much. I think Hawthorne is the only harness track left

 

Balmoral Park is not closed for good just not racing this year 2016. Balmoral Park is open 2016 for off track betting, off track waggering and is open daily 2016. Balmoral park is in Crete, Illinois on Dixie Highway.

 

Really ? A racetrack without races. What a concept. Think of the money they will save. Must have some kind of government involvement with that business model.

 

If I remember correctly they have done it before?

 

Obviously I did not read the WSJ. I hope they are not doomed to close. I would miss Maywood and Balmoral Parks.
