Hey you got to love it when there is no proof that this happened and the guy that says that is still working when he has some of the best casinos to play at in Shreveport La. That is only 88 mile from where he lives on interstate 20!


I was just there and must say what a breath of fresh air, from the casinos we have here in Vegas. They have no hassle games of casino craps!

 

MisterAK wonders why, if SuperRick is tired of reading these excerpts, he keeps reposting them? What is he trying to prove? That particular excerpt is dated 2006, so SR is digging through nine year old material, desperate to find something he can take out of context to impugn Heavy's integrity. IMHO he has failed miserably.

Heavy MAY have gotten one fact incorrect in the 2006 post mentioned above. Accounts of the amount the casino lost to that player vary, depending on who tells the story. The player in question, known in Vegas as "Mister Royalty," reportedly won somewhere between $6 million and $9 million from the Golden Nugget that month. I believe the $9 million figure quoted in a trade magazine was the casinos total loss at craps for that quarter, but several sources cite the loss to Mister Royalty at $8.5 million. I will forgive Heavy if he rounded up to even numbers.

The story of Mr. Royalty was well published, and is featured in the Tom Breitling (one of the Nugget's owners at the time) book Double or Nothing. It took place at a time when the owners of the Golden Nugget were struggling financially to keep the casino open. As a result of the casino's loss at craps security was tightened on the game. This ultimately resulted in DI's being hassled and driven away from the property. This was when Stanford Wong, among others, was barred from playing craps at the Nugget. There are countless other entires in gambling blogs and on-line magazines regarding the losses incurred during the "Tim and Tom" days at the Nugget, but I would go with Breitling's Double or Nothing book as the best source.

As a Las Vegas resident and self-proclaimed craps expert SR should be aware of these facts. However, he is so obsessive in his efforts to discredit the likes of Heavy, Mad Professor, and Irishsetter that his mind is clouded. No doubt he is influenced by one of Harley's Jedi mind tricks. I suspect he should seek counseling and medication for this OCD behavior.

In his post SR questions why Heavy does not play professionally and why he continues to work at a "day job." Heavy has long said he is a "serious recreational player" and has no interest in playing professionally. I do not blame him. Why would one give up a day job that offered a six figure income, two company cars, company paid health insurance, and a employer funded 401K? Especially if one enjoyed the job!

As for SR's trip to Shreveport, knowing that the area is Heavy's primary market, one almost believes SR is stalking Heavy. It is somehow reminiscent of a reported trip to the Buffalo/Toronto market on a quest to find the Mad Professor. Sad and pathetic.

On another subject, Mister AK arrived in Vegas last night after a successful West Texas helicopter hog hunt. It was touch and go with some of the tornadoes in the area, but death rained from the sky and the Texas feral hog population was seriously reduced.

Once again, when faced with straight answers to questions posed, Harley and his "Hey, I made a phone call to $nakeeye$ and told him about you and your personal issues" buddy Superrick, these guys rush to post as much nonsensical, repetitious drivel as they can come up with in an effort to drive the straight answer post farther down the thread in hopes that YOU, reader, will not see it. MisterAK is not impressed. MisterAK can read a game trail.

MisterAK's current project is to track through the history of posts by Harley and Superrick and compare the volatility of their comments to the lunar cycle. I believe the results will be quite revealing.

 

Here is an idea. SR has posted here and elsewhere videos depicting on-axis throws that start off correctly but don't land, roll and come to a rest in textbook fashion. Supporting his position that the majority on-axis throws become ioff-axis.

One way to refute SR's position, and to validate the on-axis position, would be to post videos to support the on-axis toss from various table positions. Saying something is or isn't so doesn't make it so. This is not to say proper on-axis shots can not be correctly executed, e.g. Howard Rock&Roller is the king of the on-axis toss, but not everyone has Howard's talents.

 

An ALTERNATIVE would be to have Harley respond to a post that I made LAST YEAR which criticized AHigh's weighting the " 6 pips " of the dice to demonstrate that THIS event caused BIAS in the dice -

However - UPON even CASUAL observation of the mentioned video -

There WAS NOT ONE " 6 or 1 " which was produced during the ENTIRE video-taped 12 - 15 hand roll -

The eventual ' 7-OUT ' WAS NOT comprised of a 6/1 -

The ENTIRE premise that Harley and Associates elude to -

IS NON-EXISTENT -

Old Hightower spent a small fortune on video equipment, and associated equipment to record and document impart the dice's flight while in the air, the reaction of the dice upon impact with the table, traveling into the pyramids of the rear wall, bouncing off same and finally coming to a rest. I know of Hightower's work, I don't personally know Hightower, but wouldn't he be the ideal person to video capture the results of maybe 50 on-axis rolls from a team composing of 3 of the best on-axis shooters and let's the video results speak for themselves. Of course the terms and objectives would have to be spelled very clearly so there is no misunderstanding between the opposing forces, and only the on-axis team would be shooting. Naturally Hightower, or someone with his skills and equipment would have to volunteer their time, knowledge, and equipment, and may even his beautiful table or some other natural party. No money prizes, unless you want money to be part of it. There is something to be said for bragging rights.

 

The result is the proof one way or the other. 44.4% is the bar. I think a 3 sd result would be close enough proof. No video is truely needed, despite the naysayers. Can you see the casino questioning a hard eight because of a quadruple pitch??? How fookin dumb is that argument?
