Hi guys, happy new year in advance.

As a new gambler, I want to ask how to improve myself in every aspect of gambling? e.g. bet selection criteria, psychology, wager management...

I ended my career as an engineer before the covid-19 plague. So right now I have time to practice myself to be a gambler but I have no teacher to guide me. Sometimes I gamble in Macau but usually, I gamble online at home, even in bed. I lost hope time after time and then persuaded myself again and again to restart my gambling career.

I want to find something and study, but there's limited material for me to make use on the internet.

I wrote a program to demonstrate the Baccarat game on my laptop. I tried to use it to find some bias or regularity of this game so that I can raise my hit rate. It took me two months on writing the program and study the game itself. However, I found no bias and regularity.

I feel it's super suffering gable with pure agnosticism. Almost every bet will make me nervous and anxious. It's really not good.

Via the program, I found that there's a bias: if the game got a double drawing, player will have a higher probability to win. if there's no drawing for both sides, banker will have a higher probability to win.

However, I couldn't predict whether or not the next game will have a double drawing.

I really don’t see how you can become a successful winner at baccarat or roulette without a mentor. The problem is successful winning players don’t teach because it’s just not worth it to them. Why waste your time teaching someone to play when you can use the same time making thousands in a casino?
I suggest you try to find someone who is really winning and befriend them. When the friendship develops, they will be more likely to be willing to help you for free. There is no amount of money you can pay a successful player to teach you, as their guidance is priceless. Moreover, successful players have no incentive to share their winning knowledge, which likely took them years to acquire. Why would they?
Lastly, before you ask anyone to help you, I suggest you first try to help yourself, by learning as much as you can about money management techniques, positive and negative progressions and bet selection. Some general information is available on the internet. But the priceless information can only be obtained from your mentor. Good luck.

I worked with a guy in Ireland for years to produce a winning roulette method so CT70’s advice is solid. The issue is that it can take a lot of time to find when you could be developing your own methods. Discipline is key. Know that there will be good days, bad days, great days and terrible days. People that say they win every day are not genuine I have found.

There is plenty of good advice on this board. You just have to weed through a lot of bullshit. Many people are willing. I’ve worked with jimske before and he is a solid guy and has great advice. Junket King is a good resource too. Again you have to weed through the attacks that they receive from those that are jealous of them. They also never claim to win all the time. That’s real to me. I don’t win every day and I feel like I’m fairly intelligent when it comes to gambling. The house edge is there for a reason. The casinos don’t build billion dollar resorts on winners. You can win. Just get the mindset. I go in the casino every time believing I can win. And most of the time I do. Manifest that winning attitude. Confidence (not OVER confidence) can go a long way. For example, I was on a cruise ship a few weeks ago. I sat down to the roulette table and just felt great. I knew I was going to win. I couldn’t lose! I sat there for hours winning and winning and winning. Crowds started gathering to watch. It was my night. I rode that wave. Of course it’s not all like that but I went in thinking I could win and I did.

Psychological stuff like that has worked for me. You still have to have some luck at the table but the mindset makes me feel like I won’t make a mistake with my plan. And have a plan. There will be wrenches thrown in there but if you can adjust you’ll be just fine.

I totally agree with you about Jimske and Junket King. I would add Jae to the short list of folks willing to help. They have been great teachers of the game.

Hire Phil Ivey and his edge sorting partner. Don't waste your time and money listening to anyone else on this forum.
