I’ve been away for most of May.

Jerry “Stickman” and I toured baseball stadiums on the West Coast, those being Seattle, San Francisco, Oakland, Los Angeles (Dodgers), Anaheim (Angels) and San Diego.

We’d spend a few days touring the cities (except Oakland and Anaheim) then move to the next one. In San Diego we ate at one of the most amazing restaurants, the Marine, which is right in the ocean at times. Yes, the waves hit the windows of the place. Food is top gourmet. Definitely worth a visit.

Jerry is a lover of good triple “D” restaurants so we made a tour of those too. Only one (Goldberg’s in Seattle) stunk. The rest were good to great.

At the end of that trip, we met our wives (Jerry’s “the Sainted Tres” and mine, “the Beautiful AP”) in Phoenix for a 9 day trip to Arizona. There we saw the Diamond Backs.

Before the Diamond Backs game we did eat at Cooperstown, a restaurant owned by Alice Cooper, which was excellent. (Incredibly noisy but excellent food.)

One thing struck me hard. Las Vegas has a swath of competition from so many casinos on the West Coast and in Arizona. You wake up and tend to trip over them. Not all have the games we might desire but they all seemed to have plenty of clientele.

Jerry rolled a 210 and I rolled a 160. (Oh, wait, wait, those were our bowling scores.)

Anyway I had 700+ emails when I got home but only about 300+ needed answering.

So I am back for a little while.
