Introducing Sparky

Hi Folks,

As we mentioned in the "Hard Launch" thread, keeping the participation level high leading up to and beyond our Hard Launch is going to be critical to ensure we have the momentum to become a self-sustaining and fully active community. Our biggest challenge now is to avoid stagnating with an inactive community. To help keep things active during these early stages, we will be doing our part by seeding the Forums with discussions from other related sites to get the ball rolling. To that end, we've created the "Sparky" account that will be fetching and posting those threads to start seeding the various Forums with regular content and "sparking" discussions and activity. The Sparky account won't participate in those discussions beyond starting the threads. It's sole purpose is to spark discussions.

So please do your part and participate in those initial threads that Sparky and others seed so that we can build momentum and break through the ice. Once you feel up for it, please start creating threads of your own. Once enough of you do that, we hopefully won't need Sparky any more.

We look forward to seeing your participation in Sparky's and others' threads, and hopefully some threads of your own. If you have any feedback regarding Sparky, please let us know here in this thread.
