    Hi all.

I first played roulette as a child using one of those toy sets received as a Christmas present, great fun at parties taking fortunes from familly and friends at parties, (5 shillings was a fortune to me in those days).

The first efforts in a live casino went very well for a few weeks until lack of knowledge, lack of money management, and lack of discipline ended the run, a week's wage lost in an hour. Never again!

That was it for the next 30 years. Poker took over, online only, and steady winnings were accrued, but only at micro stakes and never any serious chances of fame and fortune. Covid coincided with retirement, tougher games in the pokerverse and a bit of spare disposable income, and with having a lot of spare time to fill I accidently found myself playing roulette again (long story) so thoughts turned to if or how it was beatable. The 2.7% house edge is continually cited, especially by the maths guys, as the reason it isn't, but knowing (pretty sure) that some pros can beat horseracing or sports betting at a much larger % overround I intuitively believed it can. So began the search, so far unsuccessfully, but finding this forum, again accidently, (short story) and seeing a few like minded individuals, has given me renewed impetus.

    The search continues.

Normal procedure would be for someone to post something like “Yes, method X beats the house edge”, then someone says “Method X is crap, use Method Y”. Then before you know if there will be 20 pages of arguments and you’ll regret posting in the first place.
    Good luck!

    Thanks guys.
I'm already prepared for the naysayers and maths fiends, to me there's only one real concern with posting and that's the average time every post takes to disintegrate into what Klausy has already said. It seems to be getting shorter and shorter all the time, some threads hardly getting off the first page before imploding.

You've stepped back up to the table.
    A polite question.
    What do you know?

    Hi Nbn,
Usually when someone says "a polite question" or "with the greatest respect" it's not always going to be the case, but I'll bite anyway. :) I'm not sure I understand the question anyway, what do I know about what?

Casino games of the EC variety are not beatable .

They are games of luck but not of strategy. Money management is the key in this case .

Then I must be one lucky bloke, I win every time I play. LOL. Luck has nothing to do with anything, it's just a word we use for things we don't understand. We don't understand what happened so we blame it on good luck or bad luck. Just another useless superstition that needs to disappear. I win because I've developed a skill, there's no way around that.

Put is simply, what do you know about the mathboyz 37 spin cycle.

By the way my cycle is 40 to 60 spins, don't need the math experts. Are you going to turn out to be one?

Naughty but nice. What on earth gave you the idea I would turn out to be a mathboy?

Iv'e heard every argument and explanation from them as to why roulette cannot be beaten over and over again, :banghead: (it's the unfair pay outs you know :) ). Why they spend all that time and effort trying to beat down anyone that tries to win eludes me, they don't ever seem to try real world efforts rather than endless quotes that say "You can't." I won't give in untill I know in my own mind, if ever, it's impossible, rather than give up because someone tells me it is.

My current cycle I'm working on is 111 spins, it may be too long, I don't know, but I am winning so far. :singing:

It's around 60 units per 111 spins but I'm working on getting the spin number down. Hard work.
