    Hello Forum.
I had a great time playing poker for prizes at Poker School Online which is where I met Al Spath. Poker School Online ran a great month long tournament series where the top players got 200 points to redeem (in increments of 500) in live poker tournies. The idea was great and kept people at it all month and it was competitive, educational, collegial and did a lot to help me rise from minnow to sardine.

The BEST part about it is that with 3 reloads you could really "tard-up"at PLO*and there were one or two people who could easily be goaded in chat who may have been batter players, but........I really miss that place. The model is there, the eyeballs are there all month, and the prizes were real so the play was more "real". I have since tried many of the others which were way too "addy". Maybe it was just a fantasy, maybe a dream, but the dream helped me play in three 550$ circuit events that I otherwise would never have played and got me a four figure score, FOR FREE!

I was tight that day my friends. 14 hours of tight. One or two well timed shoves and some ridiculous folds against pros who were talking shop after the break and who scared me silly with their photos in magazines and whatnot... It was only when I found out that it was a 2-day event that I lost my tight and started after the heinekens and the biggest name there, Chris Reslock. Local hero, Poker "Millionaire", he was Johnny effin Chan and I was Matt Damon. I tabled my bluff. Pro Tip: Check Schedule and bring hotel money or have sleeping plans made BEFORE registering!

Anyway- I'm going to take on the spin and goes in a disciplined way. I will record my strategy and ideas about it here. I would love any input. I KNOW that there are problems with them on all sorts of levels, but they give me, the aggressive sardine, my best chance to do what I love most in poker. FINAL TABLE PLAY and getting lucky...... More later... I have an omelette to cook for a Canadian teacher pal turned invalid.... How do you spell omlette anyway? (that's 2 red squiggles so far)... I TOOK French too! ..

Note: I just requested a hand history for the last week of play which I feel contains a statistically aberrant distribution of AA. I know, sample size! they follow me those AA... i think i hear them at the door NOW!

My limited time makes "Spinners" a great format. Let's face facts. I play a near perfect PLO game for a few hours and when the blinds get really high it's about getting lucky on the flop. Who has time for that?

I play these things like an Author, telling a story. The story I like to tell early is that I am tight. I show this by checking down twice in position after calling the pre-flop raise if he has checked to me. Folding all but monsters at 20 $ (because what are you really winning) . They think im scared. Good. It's just a 7 dollar investment, there are more bullets in the bandolier. Got to take shots, but not LOTS of shots.

I tried the aggressive GTO theory way. Im sure thin edges and max volume works well. My way seems to be ok too. Once Agro has a taste, I can three bet him AI (after he re-raises my min-raise.again the thieving dog). It looks really strong and its a fold if you have sold it right and you are the chip leader after basically just using the 20 ante level to show him what a coward you are, but when you do hit, you min raise and sacrifice early value for later payoff....

I KNOW how an AGRO thinks because I am one. I stopped drinking recently and started thinking. I try to see the whole hand, so my moves are quick. It also helps that there is a large Agro library in my brain. Why would I do this here, Oh yeah..... Anyway, After this I let them play down to one opponent avoiding the angry all ins from the light stack who re-raise folded to me and play chipmunk tight poker trying only to min raise every button hand and to play two way pots for small raises....... then slamming the turn like I hit it...

Then it's just min raising my way home and folding to his big raises when he gets aces or pairs and holding up... Should I eff up here I go to all in all the time until the game is over or I have 2/3 of the chips where I can go back to bleeding him....

more later, first session +14 off to Carnival! more later
