Having played roulette for a 20 year period in AC....IN THE 80S AND 90S.....no real "sytem"

Anyway it became easy to calculate payouts. I would sometimes surround numbers with splits, quads, streets, straight up etc....and I could easily calculate the payout. Not a great feat I know....but compared to others at the table....I was a super computer.

Anyway, I learned that most people were too lazy to calculate their payout and had total faith in the dealer.
In my experience, when the dealer made mistakes, i would guess 8 out of ten times it was shorting the player or shorting me.

I dont think its intentional. I think that the dealer just gets mentally fatigued.
Its amazing that they dont allow calculators.

For people who get confused....I suggest they ask the dealer to pay bets serperately....like the quads separate, splits separate

HOWEVER...the question is...do you act as an advocate of other players and tell the dealer they are making a mistake if they are shorting the player?
Or does that set up a bad vibe at the table where the dealer has animosity toward the person who is correcting?....and may end up somehow hurting you . Is there such thing as that happening..just a bad vibe that changes the spins enough to change your "luck"

I don't play real roulette much. I play the electronic ones a bit using Oscars Grind but as a rule I try not to draw attention to myself. I also don't pay much attention to other players and their payouts.

I also do not pay much attention to what other players are receiving but once or twice it caught my attention when dealer shortened the player. I thought back then that he made a mistake and didn't bother much about it, but some "feeling" nagged me at the back of my mind untill I was done playing that day. May be it was a bad vibe, I don't know, but that day I got zero profit.

I wonder why the casino doesnt allow a big calculator on the screen showing the breakdown of the last spins. The screen is so sophisticated sowing past spins, breakdown of even bets, showing "hot numbers",,,,why leave it to the frailties of a human brain
Where the dealer punches in the different bets..and it shows on the screen"
    8 splits=
    7 corner=
    3 straight up=
    total=

Totaly agree with you. When I first entered a casino, some 5 years ago, and came to the roulette table knowing rules very vague I wondered: "Why the hell they won't make the screen where all wins are located?".
I guess there is a reason to it but I can't say for sure.
