    Hi all,

I started my gambling "career" in Vegas June 1, 1985 and now up to 110 trips from Atlanta. Add in another 3 dozen trips to Atlantic City, a couple dozen between Biloxi, Gulfport, Bay St. Louis, Tunica, New Orleans, Cherokee, a few Caribbean islands and cruise ships, and I've almost gotten the hang of it.

Play mostly BJ, but also enjoy craps, 3-card poker, mini bac, Pai Gow (face down), UTH, and even VP when needing a break from the "real" games. After 42 years in Atlanta, I moved to Bradenton, FL last month and can drive to Hard Rock Tampa in around 45 min. (I don't know if that's the good or news or the bad news. LOL)

Aside from playing, I've been developing a very unique blackjack program for longer than I'd care to admit with the aim of improving my casino results. Betting and playing strategies, along with a plethora of parameters can be easily modified; and plots and statistics using the same cards compared in "living color." Seeing firsthand what the gambling gurus claim, but never prove, has been most enlightening. But unfortunately, what I often say in the casinos still holds; namely, "I know everything there is to know about blackjack … except how to make money playing it."

Nonetheless, I'm still trying to "teach" the computer to be the best player ever and then have the computer teach me. To be totally honest, if the program actually revealed a sure-fire winning method, I probably wouldn't be posting this!

While the search for the Holy Grail continues, I'm sure the program could be turned into a commercial product with a little more effort. But as a retired hardware EE and manager, my programming skills are rudimentary at best. I'll probably finish it one of these days, perhaps partner with a real programmer, or just give it away.

    Anyway, glad to be here!
