As usual, a disagreement at another board. Your opinion counts, try and be consistent please.

00 wheel..... I am betting the 1 & 3. The 2 ends up hitting. Do you feel I was "so close, right next to it"?!

Yes OR no? Remember, its YOUR definition. This really comes down to a wheel OR layout question.

Whether you were close or not depends on how you look at it, and you answered that yourself....wheel or layout.

It's called perspective and it plays a big part in everyone's life, not just yours.

Close in all cases for me:
    1) system player: 1,2,3 belongs to the first street.
    2) physic player: 1,3 are within a 5 pockets sector and 2 is located at the 180° opposite sector, which is known as the vis-à-vis, when the wheel presents a tilt and particular wheel speed, and you are wrong by 1 revolution in the ball clocking, therefore the VB player would bet on 1/2 split to be on the spot.

....and I'm asking YOUR opinion. Close to it or not?

The "math" of the game doesn't care about the wheel layout or the table layout (or any other layout you can make using the amount of numbers available).
A number next to the one you played isn't "close" to a win, it's just a loss like any other loss.
Now when we stop worrying about the wheel layout (unless you are AP and bias matters or a DS player and that matters - I mean the common system player in a seat at the table) and focus on the math of the game - that's the right direction to be going in. (opinions of course)
There is a way to benefit from the fact that the table and wheel layout don't matter but that's for another thread (if I ever get to posting my Double Cross thread lol)

Yes, I understand a loss is a loss regardless of how close.

(00)...I'm betting on the 17. So you're saying, the 5 and the 21 are exactly the SAME regarding being close (or closer) to winning?

The mind interprets a pattern more easily when its an obvious one. So its a big fat no from me.

However there is a circumstance when 'next to' could be considered 'close' in a pattern that I see every session.
Which is simply that in most cycles (37/38) you will always see at least one occurance of a repeat x2 next to another x2 repeat usually by 24 spins. e.g. no.17 and no.18 both repeat 2.
Just something I notice. Not a coincidence. Just mathematically probable every cycle.

Ok, the 2 is spatially nowhere near the 1&3 on the wheel, so if you are playing the wheel with a bet on 1&3, then the 2 showing is not even close.

But if you were playing the layout, then spatially you were very close.

You do not know what you are talking about, a peak forming at 180° your prediction is something that happens for the DS or VB player.

Thanks Bombus. I had thought there were only two answers but according to Turbo, there is a third answer. I dont agree with him but oh well. and goofball Bago thinks I am talking about prediction (sighs).

Dickead, when you play, the numbers you bet on are your predictions. But as your brain is in disorder, you believe it's not the same, like your story about method and system which are exactly the same.

There is a way to prove my point, actually - there is a way to modify a roulette wheel (and it will probably cost about the same as it costs to manufacture one now) so that NO bias, signature or computer will work on it.
Therefore cheating would be impossible and AP would no longer exist as a threat to the casinos.
It wouldn't be hard to do - the problem is that "they" in the industry are not that smart when it comes to keeping the game fair while preventing advantage players from taking their cash.
(and yes, it would prove my point that the wheel layout or table layout mean nothing - it would just be more clear to explain it if this modification were done to wheels currently being used)
Any casino big-wigs or wheel manufacturers reading this - feel free to contact me, we can talk.
    :)
(then of course the ONLY way to win will be math - which I already know/have/use. Wow - we should REALLY talk then...)

I talked about this years ago. Are you taking my idea? (lol) I too have a full proof new idea for the casinos but it would end my playing days.

I don't know - what was your idea ? lol
It's probably not the same idea though. It wouldn't end any typical system player's way of playing - but would be the literal "end" of AP which is their biggest threat. But hey, if they don't contact me - I'm not helping :)
That would leave nonsense systems (we all know them) and math (which can beat the game).
At that point there would be other options of course for them to make it harder for me to win.

My idea ends everything. Methods, systems, AP....everything. Nothing hot, nothing cold etc. Its 100% for the casino.

If you watch the play at the big online casino live feeds, you'll see that the IT guys are 'always' recalibrating the wheel, logging the spec and cleaning them. Its very regular and can almost throw your game mentally. But of course, it really doesn't change a thing. Just a pause in the play.
