Casino Online Casinos Are Not For Me

So, I finally tried online gaming (Blackjack and some Roulette is my game). So, I tried Intercasino and made a profit (£1400) and also tried the Grosvenor online and (lost £400). However, I have come to the conclusion it is not for me. Firstly it is mind-numbingly boring. Not having the banter with the dealer and other players is something I missed. Secondly, as you are not playing with actual chips I ended up playing for higher stakes than I normally would which is a slippery slope. Never done this once in 10 years of visiting casino's. Lastly, the run of cards is crazy. For the dealer to hit 21 in 3 out of 4 hands is rare but for it to happen twice is a 30 minute session is just crazy. Now I am not saying the games are rigged but as they are basically a computer program and are just not realistic. A interesting experience but I will stick to my monthly visits to actual casinos.

    Source.

Agreed rat8472. I do not play online, I do not play local or regional casinos, I play only Vegas. That way not only may I win, but we also get comp'ed in the process.

I can tell you that the effect of betting larger units online more frequently than you would if you were handling checks at a B & M casino is definitely a real psychological impulse. It's similar to if in an employment paycheck you got all the money in actual cash in your hand and then had to manually give the taxes and witholding amounts back to the government in hundreds out of your hand...there would another boston tea party instantly...:D

But yes, that accidentally more aggressive play is part of the reason why certain online casinos (legitimate ones) can get away with larger spreads in Bacc, or slightly more favorable conditions for players...they make it up in other ways.

I'll also say that I can't speak for every online casino, but the casinos that use dealer feeds from Evolution (the popular pretty girls on a custom "set" that you see everywhere) have results that compare identically in terms of Baccarat hands as the B & Ms do on a shoe to shoe basis. I compared the streaks, singles, and a few other datapoints last year between Evolution results and actual shoes I've recorded at B & M casinos, over 500 shoes, and the results were nearly identical down to a hundredth of a percent. The online results were actually a touch more favorable, but not outside a margin of error.

That doesn't mean that an online casino that licenses the Evolution dealer feed is actually going to let you withdraw your money once you attempt to cash out, I don't want to infer that's the case, I'm speaking only for the validity of the actual gaming results between one popular online dealer source and a typical real world brick and mortar casino.

In B&M casino's you rely on other people hygiene, Covid-19 can survive on plastic (chips) for up to three days.

I'm not sure about the 100th percent waffle above, I've played thousands of shoes both online and in a B&M environment, they are not the same, there is 15 page thread on this site about it.

They are different due to the shuffle procedures, in a B&M it is a lot more trougher, Evo-online consists of two riffles even when the card are taken out the box, resulting in horrendous clumping. No need to repeat it, go read it yourself.

I must say, I understand what you are saying. But on the other hand i also understand the simplicity of sitting down in front of a computer (or phone) and having thousands of games available at the click of a button. And countless casinos as well! I guess at the end it just depends a bit on what you are used to and what means more to you. It's hard to replace human interaction ;)

I have noticed the same thing with Roulette. I don't think it is a person like pressing a cheat button but that the software has been written to have many more extended losing streaks than normal randomness. But I must admit that they also have win streaks too. So I just play knowing that for the most parts it tends to be more streaky and less like the grind away commonness of randomness.
