Poker Overpair vs small pair on straight-draw flop . . .

Discussion in 'Poker Forum' started by Poker Advice Latest, May 29, 2019.

  1. $1/2 NLH, Ignition

    $200 effective

action folds to villain in cutoff, who raises to $6

hero on button raises to $18 w/ Q♣️Q♠️

    flop: 6❤️7♣️8♠️

Villain checks; hero raises to $28; villain raises to $56; hero shoves (making it $180 total) & villain calls.

    Villain flips over 5♦️5❤️

    Questions:

    1. Did hero make correct decisions at various points, given decisions of villain?

    2. Did villain, given decisions of hero?

    3. If villain didn't play "perfectly" but had done so, what would have been correct decisions by hero?

Obviously I have my own answers, but am curious what others think. thanks!
