I think it's time to implement a "lifetime ignore status" for certain members here.
I hate to do that - I really do. But I've had enough and I'm not leaving, which is
exactly what they want. I know to them it doesn't mean anything, and probably funny.
To me it matters. If you saw my email you would know the vast amount of people
I've helped out - however they have all said that they won't openly post here
because of how certain people behave and treat others who try to contribute.
Yet the admin in a effort to not censor people allows this nonsense to go on.

If you do nothing to contribute here but bash everything I say - take the side of
a cheater and hold that up as "See, he did the same thing you do".. then honestly I'm not
going to read another word you say - that includes responding to any questions or
comments obviously because I won't see them anymore.
I have put people on ignore briefly but it's time to do it properly.

Since the admin here won't ban such nonsense - or just keeps posting "violations" to
known trolls who only cause disruptions, then I'll ban them my own way.

As you can notice - if I don't post for a week or two, the posts stop.
When I post, the forum magically springs to life with more and more comments,
pages of replies, etc... They have nothing else to contribute or do here
without me, and by not replying to them - I won't feed the trolls.
Once I put these people on ignore - the threads completely cleared up.
Now there's relevant information and the nonsense is filtered.
I can actually read through posts and comments now.

To those people - sorry, really.. it's your loss. You can of course still read
along and comment, I don't see how that matters when I won't see it...
but I know you can't resist doing it. (and even better, you can talk to yourselves
about how amazingly right you are).. That's a plus for sure !

As I said at RF.cc - when I said I was never going to post there again - I clearly
meant it and haven't posted since. I keep my word and I never say things just
to say them - and then change my mind a few days later.
To this day though - it's "Turbo" this/that but not a single comment from me.
Just as I meant there, I mean here - you won't come off of this list for any reason.
This won't magically reverse in a month, or 20.

I know the "joke" will be that it's my attempt to avoid answering questions or
silencing those who supposedly tell the "truth", etc... Have fun. Your meme/gifs
and childish comments to one another might be entertaining to your own kind -
the misfits of the forums...but to everyone else it's a waste of time to go through.
    Cheers.

Anyone wishing to be added, simply ask.

Please don't email me (as was done at the other forum) and say "So and so said this"
and expect me to go against my word and reply about it.. I won't.

    Turbo,

Why is it that we're not supposed to believe Bago's results, but that we should believe that Jekhb and you didn't cheat?

    giphy.gif

Why should we believe that you're anymore or less credible than Bago?

Do you have any other simulator sites that prove that your system can actually win and that you didn't cheat?

I still pop-in now and then, and it's a farce to be honest. Same old shit going in circles year after year.
Whether you agree or not with a post, TG, mrj and a couple of others have been the only people to post anything in-depth and informative that makes you actually think.
When someone has actually sat down and thought about a post it's a great read. Im all for the following critical arguments on a topic but they quickly devolve into repetitive bullshit. Shame. Lifes too short for that shit.

TurboGenius, I absolutely agree with your comments. I have 2 on IGNORE at
    the present time.

If ADMIN are reading this you need to understand if people are put off
joining this forum or existing members fed up with pathetic comments,
that have nothing to do with a thread, you are making it very
difficult for members here to make interesting threads and feedback.

Surely you want to increase the membership here, otherwise what is
the point of it all. No one is asking for censorship just common sense
    behaviour.

You always can create some closed group in skype or in some other place if you want to hide what you talk from other, but you that not do. Question - why. Looks that you need something other than talks in a closed group...

I do plenty of conversations outside of forums.
Forums are a place for sharing ideas and information with everyone.
I'm sure you understand that a lot of people read threads but aren't posters.
They don't comment or participate for whatever reason but they still get information.
The point is to "not" hide what's being discussed - that's why we have forums.
Some people though join forums to NOT share ideas and information, but only to
derail conversations and harass those who do. It's what they do for entertainment.
To do things in a closed group in private only benefits the people in that tiny
select group. That's not what forums are for.
Not everyone will agree, sometimes the person posting will be wrong -
sometimes there is conflict, etc. This is fine.
But when a member has 300 posts and 270 of them are gifs and memes, insults
and complete nonsense - that person isn't participating in the open discussion
as it's meant to be done.

    I'd suggest this to you.
Look at the members page listing all members.
Take note of the "post" count, and the "like" count (usually meaning that post
had content someone appreciated). Divide those and you'll have a value.
Then you can see more clearly who posts information people can use - vs -
those who post nonsense that no one needs. This isn't 100% accurate though
as you'll see that most of those people I put on ignore "like" and prop up their
own group regardless of the content. But in the end it's still a good measure
of quality posts vs quantity garbage.
    Thanks.

I'm not really agree. When you debate, it is important to get severals opinions. All i can say is that you're wrong, and it is important to say it if a new member wants to build his opinions. Most of the time, if they're ignorant they'll follow you because the first reason most of the time is to win money, they found the Roulette way by typing "How to make money easily, quickly" on google, found the roulette subject and might love the game. But then it is also good to find post that deals truth about it....

Of course i don't care if they lost their house, their bank account coz most of the time that's what will happen etc etc... But if someone ignorant is enough clever to understand, it worth to have our opinion on the site also.

About bashing people, you should understand that this is not against you... it is a way like another for you to understand... It is also used in marketing where the message must be spit to the target 's face for him to get it. It has nothing personal, and i'm pretty sure that we could be agree on many other topics, even learn from you. But here the point is that you're wrong, ask to an independant mat expert of your choice& report it here...

Yes. Most of my email are from people who don't post.
They don't want to get into battles with the same group of people, or
ridiculed over their posts so they don't participate at all.
Not everyone wants to go through that - they just want to post
their ideas and have conversations about them.
They aren't experts but they don't deserve to be insulted over their ideas.

I completely agree - I find Jerome's posts for example to be important.

However - posting a reply to every post I make with the same gif, the same meme -
over and over while posting (literally) lies.... is not someone that's concerned about
having a debate. It's called trolling.
When you're only reply to a post is "Why don't you do it for real in the casino ?" and
I've explained countless times that is exactly what I do... what's the point ?
-or- Bago won at RS LOLOLOLOL. So ? He cheated.. The problem is being fixed.
It doesn't mean whatever I've said is wrong and has nothing whatsoever to do with me.
It's annoying and the ignore feature is perfect for silencing trolls who are here to
disrupt any conversation. So this was the best option.
I of course want to hear the other side's opinions when I post something.
That's not what's happening here clearly... aside from a few people - hence they
    aren't on ignore.

Sorry, but spitting in someone's face (trolling) is not a means of educating someone
or correcting them when they are wrong. We are adults, if we don't treat each other
as such then nothing productive happens at all and you have a circle of face spitting
and arguments which is exactly the problem we have. My solution to that seems to work.

Turbo, I think this a bit simplistic because it doesn't take into account the bias inherent in some forums, especially where the topics are controversial. One of the downsides of the internet is that whatever bat-shit crazy ideas you have there's likely to be a forum for it somewhere where you can go to validate your beliefs. It's a kind of echo-chamber where most posters (by definition) are sympathetic to the ideas and WANT to believe them. For example there's a flat earth forum where members come up with all kinds of complex arguments which in their view support the flat earth theory (really!). If I was a believer I would tend to ignore the few dissenting posts and support the ones which confirmed my prior belief (it's called confirmation bias). So if there was a "like" feature in that forum someone who thought the idea of a flat earth was nonsense and posted regularly with arguments and proof against it in a civil way (no insults and trolling) they would probably not have many "likes", but that doesn't mean their posts or presence on the forum has no value. And conversely, someone might post often but not post anything much of substance. He could still get a lot of "likes" if he basically just posts variations of "yay!, hooray for Turbo!" over and over, lol. You can hardly argue that this member's posts are "quality" when all he's doing is supporting the home team.

    Turbo,

You are entitled to your own opinions, but not your own facts.

Perhaps you and your secret group of system supporters could wear safety pins to recognize each other and spot when it's safe to talk without having to hear different views. You know a safe space where everyone can be coddled.
