Shouldn't Casino Staff refuse to pay Jackpots until they can verify the people they are paying? A guy on WOV, I'll call him Matthew, said that he accidentally left his Player's Club card in and left and a complete stranger played on his card, got a huge Jackpot, the Casino paid the complete Stranger the Jackpot and.... Sent Matthew the taxes to pay. I think the stranger gave them Matthew's PC. .. They didn't even ask the stranger I'll vall him Robert for a certain reason(Robber) for ID. Oh, this is a guy so he must be Matthew seemed to have been the stupid Casino's stupid reasoning. Robert the Robber happily took the tax free Jackpot win knowung full well that he is not Matthew. Matthew was in another State when the Jackpot thing happened and is currently in a tug of war with that Casino to prove that he shouldn't have to pay those taxes. So sad, having to possibly pay taxes on money you didn't win! He even showed proof that he was in another State when the Jackpot was won and the Casino is still fighting him tooth and nail. He has airtight alibis and they are still fighting with him. Sad. A simple "ID on real life person doesn't match Player's Card name, don't charge PC Gambler taxes," would have been ideal here!

I saw that WOV thread and I am thinking that when/if the dust settles, "Both "Robert,"and the Casino will have a lot of explaining to do to the IRS for that Jackpot paid out to "Robert,:" with another person's information ...

It's awful that the guy is being told to pay taxes on money that some complete Stranger won. The guy didn't get to enjoy any of that money and didn't even know about it until being told to pay those taxes.... Awful.
