Do you play any different if you are being paid by someone to be in a tourney?

Yes, if someone believes I can win with their money, I do all the work and then have to split up the winnings, I constantly sit there and think: "why the hell do I need them if I'm that good enough?" Can tick you off certainly.

Now, if you can't get in many games on your own and you need the boost, I'd examine my results. If better than even, I'd do what I could to establish my own bankroll and shake free of playing for someone else. When it's your money you may if fact play some pots differently, but when you are sharing someone's dime you are sometimes more protective and proactive (fearing a knock out and no further backing).

    No!!!

When I play backed my investors backing me to play my game and if I try and not play my game do to running on another's dime it will take you off your game.

I have been involved in over 500 stakes 90% as a backer and when I invest in someone it is for them to play there game, there style, if they go and try and change it up then we have a problem ;)

When playing on your dime or another's always play you’re "A" game

I always took it as a complement I forgot the term being sponsored for some odd reason, usually I am asked to if I can be sponsored, I always play the same as i always do I just feel bad if I don't win anything for the sponsor.
