Hey PC. I watched the line on the Warriors drop from -6.5 to -1. Studied who was playing and who wasn't. Your line popped in my head "when in doubt, get out." So I passed the game and they lost. I'm becoming a better ducker than swatter lately.

Thinking about ducking the entire seasons.

So anyway. The joke goes. There were two "guys" sub a for u. One sees a dog licking his balls. One "guy" says, "I wish I could do that." The other guys says "I will hold him if you want to try."

Just about that time there was this hootin and hollering commotion. This "guy" had is head stuck in a bob wire fence and boy let me tell ya he was flat getting it poured to him from behind.

So the "guy" says. "Forget about the dog. I'm going over and getting my head stuck in that fence.":D

Some time a break ( season, month) is a refresher. The least is you have no losses and the most is one comes back fully funded and clarity of mind, the clarity or lack of it , can mean 20-30% swing either way in selection bias, or price bias., team bias, or sports code. Nice.

No packer game bet this week for me , Rodgers most likely has mvp sown up so 2nd rate effort from him min. Imho. Then a bye, then playoffs great time of year. Cheers

Packers have clinched everything. Probably a good time for Rodgers to rest his bad toe.

Utah opened today as a 3.5 favorite over Toronto. Now an 11 point underdog because of covid. There are too many variables to consider.

    Lol
Really just scraped in , literally and physically just made it.

The rain was a factor as previously mentioned and was solid foundation for taking the draw bet as main betting approach to this test series. The extra feature was the history of drawn tests this venue, now in last 8 years it’s 5 draws. The English needed the rain to make the series a non whitewash, cricket needed it also. Mho.

The rain shaved about 6-7 hrs play approximately this year, although extended play time was added thankfully for myself and English, it was not enough in the end.

My outlay this match was $1000 at $4:60 for the draw ( won just)

    $800 on skipptophia, mixed bet range, $1:46, $1:80s, $2:80 and $3:55 plus $100 on English at $12:00s
    Total outlay of $1900
    Return $4600
    Profit $2700
Degenerate lol. My ass, jesterdietz. Lol.
If skipptophia won I’m up on that test around $14 profit.

$14:00 Still a profit in anyone’s book , I probably placed 1millionth out 700 competitors but I don’t care to list some bulshit competition results, I prefer the cash .!!! Lol. Also note I’m not pushing a tipping website either. Lol.

Without linking various other bets to this match, was possible but lots of hard work, my outlay would have been much higher and most likely the return even though winning would have been a net loss of a few $ s , in this situation I prefer cash return rather than being cute.
    Happy boy boy.

The fifth test , we will see. This series we are up a huge amount and can play the % game on some of the profits. Im able to fully fund my nrl / rugby season, next season nfl and next season cricket. My mlb account can be topped up ( poor results 2021, and I suspended bets that league due to Covid) and ready to go if Covid is not a factor 2022. We see.
I find nba to dynamic for me and we don’t always get the full round to bet on each day. Hence when in doubt stay out.

    lol
Excuse the blathering, I’m champagne o’clock uped lol. Cheers

Two interesting articles Bob Dietz had written and posted at VCT.

What in life isn't a gamble? The person we marry, the church we chose, the job we take, the business we go into. The house's we buy. The stock market. Rentals. First deeds of trust. Blackjack. Sports betting.

It all comes down to the more knowledge we acquire the less risk we take.

The alternative to this joke here in skipptophia was
Two guys sitting in beer garden ( was beer o’clock, beer garden is another name for outdoor bar area) saw a dog tied up to the fence, it was throughly engrossed in licking its balls, one guy says to the other “look at that , seems to be enjoying himself”
Other guy says in reply “ yeah I wish I could do that”

First guy replied “ I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if you licked them for him”

    Lol.
    Cheers

    Phew
Map of tassie test was a win. Sure was only a $40 odd win as I thought English could have / may have stolen this one.

No problem a win is a win and was only in that test for skin in the game, re to continue the theme of my posts this thread. Not bragging or big noting myself, nor am I going to promote my sports thread lol I don’t have one, lol. I did manage to be correct on all 5 test results this time around.

Yes I did hedge bet the English 5th test ( reason above) and a small hedge on the English 4th test in Sydneyvilla ( if they won that test I’d have been at a small loss on that particular game ) .

This post of mine was to show money line bets and draw betting an aspect of sports betting that most in skipptophia are very familiar with and excel at. The notion put forward by a poster this forum that unless you bet against the spread in sports betting you are a degenerate gambler or at the barest minimum an idiot.

I for one can see that there are many ways to skin a suckling pig. Just because your culture says ats is the way to succeed don’t make it the only way. The objective of any undertaking in sports betting ( as an example) is to make a profit.

I do know of many skipptophians that also play the ATS betting re afl ( Aussie rules football) as an example and nfl. I have seen the team they are backing win but they lose because the margin was wrong ( final score) . That is their choice and I’m fine with that. For mine if I’m backing a team to win I don’t care by how much, I researched the team I want it to win , I’ll take the $1:50 / $1:60 any day of the week . As an example outlay $100 at $1:85 ats for -6:5 or money line of $1:60 , I’ll take the money line thanks.

My money, my skills, my choice.

The poster that suggests ats is the only acceptable method, fair enough, that’s your skills, your money, your choice.

    Have a bit of grace.

    There is no holy grail.

I practice and promote RESPONSIBLE gaming practices at all times.

Thanks once again tater for the use of this thread in allowing me to conduct a walk through of thought and method re Ashes test cricket series. 5 tests match conducted in 5 different locations, each game was allocated 5 days to compete. 5 winner betting is difficult but not impossible and many others would have achieved the same results( this test series) but using a different method .
    Cheers

Eagles fans think replacing Jalen Hurts is the answer. Let's he broke Micheal Vick record this year. His rushing/passing stats were better than Lamar Jackson.

He did get the Eagles to the playoffs. Seems to me they should be finding support and improving other positions.

But trade up and do whatever if takes to draft a QB or get Russell Wilson.

Hurts will be a nice fit in New Orleans or Seattle. Both teams with veteran coaches.

Big tigers win and home town super bowl for rams. That is a rare occurrence. As I believe super bowl game location are allocated pre season.

Looking forward to the game in 2 weeks.
    Cheers

I’m not putting a bet on this game but two years in a row? Homie at homie? I will take tigers as a no bet win. Cheers

I will still paper bet the tigers. I like the gritty way they played last few games. In all probability the game against the chiefs was most likely the super bowl finale there as we say in skipptophia.

My limited experience of nfl puts me in the novice class hence

just a paper bet here. lol.

Heaven forbid anyone stealing the pro sports betting guru thunder. Lol.

Here is my walk through of the super bowl tiger to win. as I said gritty play to get here. Burrows stayed calm and capitalise on chiefs mistake etc. chief underestimated tigers and maybe guilty of thinking the game was won done and dusted before stepping onto the paddock.
    Special teams are good.

San Fran lost the game to rams , imho rams were gifted the win. Sure they played to remain in the game( and win) but easily could have gone sanfrans way. Groppollo team had the hard path through and had they won I would back the tigers anyway.

Rams , so so special teams, Stafford panics and is carrying a possible injury, relays on the Hail Mary as a favourite option. Obj high maintenance individual ( very talented love him heaps) but is the weak link here. I will be surprised if he actually gels with this team game day. Rams will go into the game same mojo as chiefs against tiger imho , underdog to win , not pretty but under 40 slug fest .

Regardless if I’m right or wrong, totally looking forward to that game played on Valentine’s Day here. Will it be a bloody valentines? Who knows , but I’m having Bloody Mary’s as per the usual super bowl festivities the crew put on here.

    Cheers

If I had a gun to my head, I'd have to bet Rams moneyline. Their defense is tough. Bengals QB was sacked 9 times against Buffalo and they still one.

But it's a feet up in recliner and nacho eating game for me.:D

Doing the stock up of bar and grill essentials for tomorrow Valentine’s Day Super Bowl. I’m loving it already, the corn chips are getting the game day team roster but the Mountain Dew is benched, not enough spirit. Lol.
    Enjoy your day tater. Cheers

Surprisingly very little market movement here since the 1st of February, previously posted here, and today 13th February.
    1 cent drifts, lol.
These of course are skipptophia prices and as typical of skipptophians degenerate gambling practices the market will probably move dramatically tomorrow morning ( skipptophia time) . The degen here tends to leave it late and suddenly goes “oh look super bowl” better have a bet.

I will check prices 9:00 am tomorrow before the 10:30 am beer o’clock game start. Cheers
