Casino Resorts world, queens NY and down state casino licenses

4 star hotel expansion, celebrity restaurant, and gaming floor being added by 2020

Construction underway now

All the while, 3 casino licenses to be awarded to downstate NY

I smell live games coming to the NYC area very soon

MGM and genting are offering the state big money to lift downstate casino bans before 2023

 

Still prefer driving 3h to AC

 

Three NY state sanctioned casinos are currently operating on the Finger Lakes region , City of Schenectady , and the Catskills.

All had met the requirements to be considered " economically depressed " are.


A fourth casino although included in the law was never considered for any location .

There is 3 casino licenses left to be given out down state

I don’t think resorts world queens would be building a 4 star hotel if they didn’t expect to get one of the licenses

In my opinion.

 

Any suggested sites given for those 3 downstate casinos ?

Well at this point we can only guess

I did read some articles that showed a few things

- MGM acquires empire in Yonkers and is offering the state money to let them receive a license for live games

- resorts world queens followed suit and is pushing the state (I believe resorts queens knows something because they are building a hotel on site)

- the Long Island casino is already inside a hotel so i believe it’s a strong contender

If these three go live, kiss Atlantic City goodbye.

I’d bet money resorts world queens goes live very soon.

 

The NY State commission which investigated those possible casino locations were quite thorough not only in reference to the sites but also to the integrity of the casinos per se .


Resort World Casino and Hotel at Monticello NY is like a typical AC casino in AC also offering free drinks.
