Suppose you announce you want to gamble, and someone offers to play Rock-Paper-Scissors (roshambo) with you for $100. What do you choose on the first throw? Please answer the poll, and you can see the distribution of how others say they would play. If you find some way to play 1/3 of each, that is the Nash equilibrium strategy, which gains no advantage over any other strategy. However, even if you want to protect yourself by playing the Nash equilibrium strategy, it's hard for people to generate random numbers. So, I really don't expect to see a 1/3-1/3-1/3 distribution in real life. I think people have exploitable tendencies.
