I got interested in roulette from reading a book titled 'Roulette for the Millions' by Patrick O'Neil - Dunne.
First published in 1971. It is an excellent book for anyone wanting to learn the basics of roulette.

The book details the continuous play for a month at the casino de Macao at Table 14. The book gives all
the basic info about roulette and some basic systems and methods of staking, including patterns, dominance, the Cuban, neighbours, the Paroli, sleepers and finals.

The author mostly concentrated on sleepers, while his two assistants Gill & Harry played the outside of
the layout, dozens, columns, red, black etc. There is a detailed explanation of each days play.

At the back of the book there is a supplement showing a complete record of 20,000 spins of the worlds
longest roulette game, certified by the casino de Macao.

One thing happened for sure. It worked so well that it shut down all the Roulette tables all over the world. Well, not that. It was ignored to such a degree that the greatest achievement in gambling went overlooked for more than 4 decades. Not that either. I know, it just laid there like broccoli and vegged out. The best part is that it has 20,000 meaningless spins all of witch have no influence on future spins. Yep, that's worth buying.

    Gizmo,

To be brief should one look for betting 2 numbers or go after the 18 or 24 number bet selections ?

If you are Ken then you should pounce on the casino and take all you can with 2 numbers. If you are me then you should know what I know about 18, 19, or 20 numbers. I can grind out a success from just 3 net wins. But I can destroy a casino when the global effect occurs. Funny how my BIG FAT SECRET is a pile of dog shit to everyone. So my answer is to know how to clobber a casino when they have their pants down. Yep, that non existent fallacy from gizmotron. So why do you ask?

You obviously must be at an early stage of understanding roulette.

I applied my 45 sets to the first 3 columns in the supplement 111 spins and the following two sets were in the lead:

    sets
    11 13 27 29 ….. 29 27 13 13 11 29 11 13 11 11 13 27 11 11 13 13 29 11 27 11 29

    9 11 25 33...….. 25 9 33 9 33 11 11 25 25 11 11 33 11 11 9 33 11 11 9 25

You wouldn't normally associate the four numbers in the set. Obviously 11 is very active but when it's combined with the
other three numbers in the set you get a really good result

    Interesting facts (I suppose)

    20,000 spins played - ended +$35,000

But regardless +$1.75 per spin profit average over 31 days and nights.

The 20k spins in the book are junk. There are several repeating sequences in the data stream. I looked at it a few years back and pointed out exactly where the duped sequences were.

You can find discrepancies in most books concerning facts and figures. The book however is still useful as a starting point
for learning about the game of roulette.

This is true. In fact I'm a firm believer that a person needs both experience and practice. I create practice software that is real. It allows me to test and practice my guessing skills. I learn from it what a vague condition I see as normal or common. I know about expectations and what happens when it is so easy that I'm done in a few minutes. I know what to expect if things are not easy and it goes on for two hours. I know how often I must bail out of a difficult session. I mean that I get real stats on how well I adjust to effectiveness. Like 100 sessions and only 5 bailouts. These are things that are best learned outside of a casino. It is my advice to not gamble until you have a method that works to your advantage. I know that the mathBoyz insist that the house advantage is the final word. But as we have learned the casinos make far more off of player ignorance than a measly 5%.

The problem is that the possibilities are endless, you could invent 10 differents systems everyday... The only limit is your imagination so you guess that you can spend 1 year/5years/10 years/your all life searching in vain & lose your time. The best start to play roulette is to know that there's 37 numbers but you're paid *35+your winning bet so it's a -2.7% game; how to play with the odd in your favor? That's the question! All the rest is just trying to negociate a delay to finally pay the due.

Agreed with Sir Anyone - don't hold it up as "certified" proof and then change the story to say that there are discrepancies - but regardless, they are past spins and mean nothing to anyone using present and future spins.

The two leading sets shown above proves you are wrong. They can continue for sometime and can be very lucrative. There
is also the facility of reducing losses, when sets are equal and no bets take place.

I wonder how long this one will last? It is obvious to those with real experience that yet another Holy Grail has been overlooked for many decades but in the hands of this new guy, it's the big deal we have all been waiting for. Now, why is it that you are so willing to help us mere plebeians?

    Gizmo ,

The poster of this thread did not expect such an amount of experts on Gambling Forums . He picked the wrong audience . Better luck with his bet selections . He is young and naïve
    .
I find it beneath my dignity to personally reply to him .

Sets are no big mystery, they are "the most fundamental in mathematics" (WIKIPIDIA)

I use 45 sets at the Tables. For practical reasons it's the maximum number that can be used.
I acknowledge it was not easy to work out the sets, as some are necessarily complex. It does
however give a player an advantage over the house edge.

No doubt negative comments as above will be the order of the day, and such comments as
'the wheel has no memory etc'. Yes of course the wheel has no memory, but numbers conform
to three types of situations, as they come in on the wheel. There are the 'hot numbers' H
meaning they repeat in just a few spins. Then there are sleepers S and lastly numbers that
just come in at odd times O. If for example we take the number 3, we don't know which of
the categories H S or O it's going to fall in. If it turns out to be an O then it could be costly
waiting for it to come in. If instead it was part of the five sets, it wouldn't matter if it was a
sleeper S or an O, in which case if it is part of a leading set it will add to the profitability of
    the set.

There is a wealth of info in sets and negative comments won't alter the facts.
