    Hi,

I'm new here, but not to the game of blackjack. I've been playing for a little over 3.5 years and blackjack has been my primary source of income for about the last year or so. If you participate on BJ21 or Blackjack The Forum, then you might recognize my handle. I started off playing mostly in MO, but I have to travel to play now, as my action is no longer welcome locally.

That's about it. Just wanted to introduce myself.

What`s up Ryemo; you may recognize my handle from BJ21 also. Welcome! I know MidWestPlayer from there also joined here recently too. I don`t think I ever got around to welcoming him to this forum when he posted now that I think about it... Anyway, I hope all the checks are going your direction at the tables.

Welcome and fair play. If it's your primary income then you must be doing well. How do you decide where to play?

Yeah, BJ does ok for me, but it's a tough way to live. It was easy to transition into semi full time play because I own a small business with a good group of employees. The business hasn't been very profitable in the last couple years, so after some discussion with my wife, I started playing blackjack more for supplemental income. Eventually, it got to the point where BJ went from being supplemental to primary. But having a wife and kids makes it difficult with all the traveling. My wife is very supportive, but doesn't like the amount of time I spend away from home. I don't really like it either. If/when she starts working full time, I think I will cut back drastically and just go back to playing recreationally. Probably put some more time into my business at that point.

As far as deciding where to play... I just play wherever I can. I can't really play locally anymore, so traveling is required. I still have some casinos that I can play within a 6 to 8 radius by car. There's a lot of casinos that are close, but I've been backed off my a lot of them. I also fly to different regions to play as well, but I try my best to limit my traveling expenses. There are some chain of casinos where I put in some rated play and have gotten a lot of junket offers. I use every opportunity for free (or cheap) travel that I can to keep those expenses low.

    Hey Everyone,

I have always played BJ at casinos but this year I've purchased the BJA course and its awesome! My goal is to become a pro player! Some day when I excel in my skills I will sign up for boot camp.
