Baccarat Something caught my attention

    I was just reading up the past threads here, and for some reason the shift 5 system was of interest.
    I went onto tube, but the video wasn't playing. However I was still able to get the summary from another website.

    My question is: are you meant to bet only when there is a match with the + and - ? (For those who are familiar) eg

    X. X . +
    X. X . +
    X . X . +
    O . O . +
    O. O . +

    I would really like to understand this a lot clearer, in terms of the plus and minuses (if possible).
