Blackjack Suggestion for CBJN

Discussion in 'Blackjack Forum' started by Midwest Player, Jul 2, 2019.

  1. Summer has arrived in the upper Midwest, and I have been calling different casino destinations in the Midwest to get their latest rules. I have found many of the casinos that I have been looking at in CBJN have very outdated information even though I may have reported on them in the past.

I've been reporting for CBJN for over 18 years, and in fact I just looked up my very first CBJN report which was dated 5/26/2001. At one time or another, I have reported on most of the casinos in northern WI and the U.P. and even some in eastern MN. However, I sure don't get out like I use to, and many reports in CBJN for the upper Midwest are 3, 4 or even 6 years old.

I do have the latest rules on several upper Midwest casinos, but they were all gotten by phone talking to the pit, and I don't have the latest pen. I will say in general the rules have deteriorated and the number of blackjack tables offered has decreased. However, not all have changed their rules or games and the CBJN listing of years old information is still correct.

I suggest CBJN to allow reporting of casino rules obtained by phone. Okay, you might not be able to get the pen, but I have found information received from the pit to be very accurate. It would surely be better than having years old information that is far from accurate and in some cases casinos offering games that are totally worthless. And here is an example of a totally worthless casino. I'm told from talking to the pit, the Kewadin casinos have now gone to almost entirely csm shufflers. If you are there on a weekday that is all you will find, and I had this confirmed from other sources. I would never waste time to make a trip there in person to confirm this. I trust the information I received, and to think just a few years ago Kewadin was offering one of the best games in the country. Of course, the information in CBJN for this casino is very outdated.

So Al, please consider this change. Information in CBJN could be marked as such if received by phone.
