    Hi there!
Every year there are tons of new movies. And during few last years many franchise were renewed or created. E.g. StarTrek, StarWars, James Bond movies, Bourne, Hobbit/LOTR, Bridget Jones let alone many more.
I was just thinking what's the gamblers's most favourite movie franchise... If movies are something we have in common besides gambling.
So feel free to post your favourites movies, why you like them and just let's have a nice talk and discussion!

    Tolkien, no question.

But with a second "Avatar" in production, that could change: absolutely loved the original.

    James Bond for sure.
As a finger the song and the movie Goldfinger, scared me.

Starwars was good as a novelty of Hi tech movie making and I did wait on line for the first 2....in the days when movie theaters showed just one movie.....before the widespread multiplex.

If I were gambling at the Orleans.....and wanted to take a break and pass some time and see a movie upstairs at their multiplex......a James Bond film would be the perfect selection for me.

The thing about Bond....is that you can lose track and not see a few Bond Films.....and pick up on the newest one without losing anything in the translation.

With some of the others you really get the best out of the movie if you have seen all the previous ones.

In terms of pleasure received from watching them all, over the years (not quite movies, more like short subjects): The Three Stooges.

does anyone know what short subjects are? Fuck I forgot all about them. Although I never saw the stooges as a short subject.I remember cartoons though being shown.
The stooges were shorts shown on a local kiddy show....with "officer Joe Bolten" introducing each short.

Could you imagine the outrage/ meltdown if a local TV show provided the stooges as saturday morning fare for kids today......you know, a kid sitting down on a saturday morning to watch the stooges.....after playing a video game where he killed and maimed a few dozen men women and children.

Its a wonder I survived....watching the stooges, and opening thousands of cans of soda that produced a razor thin metal shard.

    Remember Claude Kirshner and Clownie?

He was on channel nine I think, and limited to the NYC TV market (including north Jersey).

How about Andy Devine of "Andy's Gang?"

    Gunga and Rama? Really?!
