First off, just wanna say that I've never played this, nor test it, am just presenting as the concept. In the past, there was lots of talks about the template, and to me it always made sense as a way to bet randomly, objectively, mechanically to buck up against the random outcomes of the baccarats. But most always suggest the balanced template like bbppbbpp, and that don't make sense. the baccarats is the unbalanced proposition what favor the bank so you gotta use the unbalanced template what favor the banks, so I'd go with somethings like bbbbpppbbbbppp etc. Actually i think this might be a good way to capture backs to backs win, especially if yer usin the star style progression where the w-l-w-l sequence ain't gonna clip you, hey hey.

The Bailey style is interesting but seems to me to be a bit unwieldy. I always thought that straight star style to be the better option, hey hey.

Any unbalanced template favoring B is going to have a slight greater coefficient of performance then a balanced template. Slight. And slight is better than nothing of course. Still, a loser is a loser.

Bailey never had a bet selection "style." His opinion was that no matter the bet selection we will ultimately lose more hands than win conforming to the odds of the particular EC game. He did mention and think that the template XXYY, which was referred to him by a friend, was as good as any fixed selection. And that he's probably right in my opinion. JohnO liked XXXYYY better. Why? Because it's nemesis occurred less often. I don't think it does but it would be easy to determine if anyone wanted to bother.

Bailey was all about money management. My favorite is his +1, -1 flat with cutbacks as needed. It's my favorite but I don't use it.

Doesn't this whole conversation beg the obvious? Is there any fixed bet selection that actually shows a positive EV? The answer is no. Therefore some will lose less than others but a loss is still a loss. LOL.

    Cheers

You can test anything in isolation over thousands and thousands of hands and I am sure it will conform to the expected value but that's not the way it plays out over our short sessions at the casino. Without sounding like a broken record, the only question is can you tune in to what's currently happening at the Baccarat table, because if you can, then there is nothing stopping you making a few units. Rinse and repeat as required.

I have tested Bailey's Style of XXYY on live shoes with 5000 unit twice,The first saw -3000+ unit and hover between -2000 and -4000 wagering at around 200 unit ,when I saw that it could not recover,I quit at -3000 unit

In the second I was determined to see the end of the story, the shoes went to -4000 ,with the wager at about 250 unit before recovery.
This was done wagering banker only when banker shoes up.

But selectively wagering banker seems do be doing extremely well.hopefully will update the results it the future.

My experience is different from soxfan's. Good to know there are people like ola who find soxfan's method useful. Ola has balls of steel to be betting so many units. Fixed bet selection doesn't work for me. Following the shoe works better for me.
