On another forum they was talkin about the proper gratuity if you captured a million dollar slots jackpot. And I gotta say most what responded are a bunch of cheaps-skate, skins-flint and tights-wad! That said, south of the border a million dollar jackpot will end up being slightly less than 700Ks after the IRS skim their withs holdings off the top. Up here gambling winnings are non-taxable so you walk with the full-montie, the whole cool mill. So, if I won that million dollar jackpot I would come over the top with a 44ks tip for the slot attendant cat/girly what lock up my machine and pay me off. I figure that even after that generous tip I would still walk with 956ks. So that 44ks ain't a big deal for me but would be a very big deal for the slot cat/girly, in fact that 44ks would probably be equal to or maybe a bit more than a year's worth of take homes pay for them, hey hey.

Tipping is a very interesting topic... And that's not trolling or trying to be contrary. I tended to tip 5% of my EV regardless of results. There was a play that on paper was an 8% earn. I used to tip $5 every-time I sat down and a $500 bonus to the bar-tender on any Royal. The play was for high 4K and didn't tend to last long. The point is one should tip based on EV and not on results. I could lose and tip the same as when I won.

Arnold Snyder talks about this in his most recent book. I was surprised his mentality was identical to mine...Have no worries I recommended a good counselor:)

I wanted to add that if I won that jackpot south of the border then I would come over the top for a lesser amount. Knowing I was gonna get clipped by the IRS for about 30% then I would probably come over the top witha 22ks tip and still skate with over 650ks, hey hey.

Your really green and ignorant if you think the average slot attendant makes only 44k a year. In many places they make 3 times or more that amount. Way more money then most of those entitled dog fuc$ers deserve.

I don't even know what you mean by, "ignorant". I do know that it's not easy being green...

I don't know how tips work in casinos, but in Brazil poker dealers practically live on the tip given by customers.
It doesn't hurt to leave a tip for someone working.

And I have a question, some online casinos have the option to tip, but I've heard that the $ doesn't go to the dealers.
    could anyone confirm this?
