Poker Too Aggressive?

    Small Cash Game 1-3-6 Limit hold em.

    From late position I raise with pocket 4’s. Only the guy behind me calls. Flop is 5-6-7. I C-bet to get him off the hand. He calls. Turn is a jack. I bet again he calls. River is an Ace. I bet. He calls. I turn over my 44 he turn over A-6 off suit. He called me with a pair of 6’s to the river. Was I too aggressive or did this guy get lucky?
