    i would say play low buy in tournaments, the experience is what you need most, and you have to play to get that. low buy in's will help get you some experience, and should not break you, also check out a tutor or instructor, someone who has played for years and seen a lot. learn game principles like, position, cards that play better in the different positions. once you do that learn how to mix up and play out of position. their are three basic types of hands, pairs, connectors, and suited connector, or even suited high card and the rest are rags, in some situation even rags can play, values differ by positions. see Al or ppiposse, and try 64 spades its a fairly new site.
