    Hey CCers!

I am a writer and I'm thinking about writing about the game we all love. I might write a couple short books on different angles about poker and I thought it would be fun to get your opinions on what you'd like to see in a poker book.
    I appreciate any thoughts. :D

As an author myself and a reviewer of poker books for more than 15 years, I would make the following observations and suggestions:

Determine your target audience (new players, intermediate, advanced).

Don't write a couple of short books on different angles, combine them, each chapter attacks or addresses certain points of the game. (Hand selection, position, bankroll, etc.)

Maybe address most critical mistakes starting out, or how to pick a coach/mentor.

Chapters on leaks or holes in your game are very important, some players don't understand they have them and others can SEE them.

Explain how to advance, what books (depending on current level they play), should they read, articles that help, discussions in forums that provide more options to use.

How to deal with the emotional side of playing, losing streaks, being sucked out, playing horrible yourself.

You have to determine the direction and scope of the book (maybe an E-book), so I wish you well.
