when you have a max drawdown that is MORE than the profit that you make - that's a sure sign that you're doing something that doesn't work reliably.

So what is your question? You should have done it before you hit the big drawdown.

I will give an example of the worst case of what I am talking about
    this is Martingale
you bet terribly many units with the hope of winning 1 unit.

!!!max drawdown that is MORE than the profit that you make!!!

    how to bet?
    To prevent this from happening

    Don't use the Martingale.

Just walk down to a bridge and throw your money into the river.

It was only luck if you had no idea of what it was that you were doing. If you execute a plan you get results that you can use. That information can be part of a strategy. It takes a skilled expert to use a strategy that adjusts to what a session's conditions are. The goal is to win or to minimize any losses. That is the goal if your goal is to win. If your goal is to learn at any cost, by making costly mistakes, then that is a different goal. It's not a bad goal. It's just the cost of learning. Only a few people learn the hard way and stick with it. It's possible to beat this game if you don't beat yourself first. That sounds like a boy's adventure. I mean if you don't defeat yourself first.

Naturally, use a positive progression to risk a few in order to win a lot... but with a negative edge game a few+ a few+ a few+ a few will be a lot also.

To be fair, most people want to win back their lost money.

Methods do exist to prevent players from draw downs or even steep draw downs . Not complicated at all .
