Lounge Why all the combustion in here

I've been a outsider peering in for a while, it's troubling to read all this combustion in here.
My name is Christina or Chrissy if this forum is for gambling why are we focusing on everything but gambling?
That's just my nine cents.

You are in the lounge area, which is basically non-gambling.

Gambling topics are available elsewhere here, they're just not as popular.

 

Its not really hard to find.
There is entire sections devoted to Blackjack, Craps, sports betting, roullete, and maybe 8 more sections to boot.

Its all listed on the home page.

Plus if you cant find a gambling topic you like....there is a misc. section under "betting" as well.

At the very bottom of the home page is a section on "comments" that you can click on and make a post to the admin asking for more help

"Combustion" was a great word to use. Wish I'd thought of it.

I don't think many of these guys are going to be giving speeches at your local Rotary any time soon. Most seem to be a tad on the youthful side.

 

There's plenty of active gambling related topics at wizard of vegas forums. WOV is home to some of the brightest mathematicians in the gaming industry. There's people who make and design table games, slots, video poker etc etc. There's people who work in and for casinos, There's a healthy mix of gamblers and advantage players who play everything from blackjack to slots. There's plenty of off topic conversation as well. As with most any forum It's not drama free. There's some interesting people there everything from young bright sunshiny people to curmudgeonly old misers.

Some people feel it's over moderated and there's favoritism That should be a reason for you and others to limit their resources. Most people dont have a problem, especially if you're there for gambling related topics.

there is a time and place for everything pour soul, this wasnt the time and or place.

Put you will eventually get the hang of interacting with people in a logical and meaningful way.

wov has a horrible reputation with women. ..whether the guy in charge of customer service is treating women as objects and props....or he bragging how his wife has come to concede to his wishes on valentines day. His "wish" being that he gives her nothing. Or the favorite womans body part thread that is indeed started by a woman.it was a woman who has no self respect.

As the visits by regular members decline.....the people left are the ones that are more agreeable with the man in charge of customer service.

So I personally would not recommend that site to women, unless they have no respect. And there are few of those to keep you company there if thats what you like.

I would recommend that site for alot of the people who are already there. People who enjoy being treated as they are treated ..and people who enjoy seeing their neighbors treated similarly.

 

People are illogical, unreasonable, and self-centered.
Love them anyway.
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish ulterior motives.
Do good anyway.

 

Can you imagine what would happen if someone made a post like this at WOV?

They'd be screaming spam and throwing tantrums all over the place. They'd start 2 or 3 threads trashing the one who posted.

They'd be calling for the "banhammer" and would squeal with delight when it came.

Husband of the year/fleabag night clerk would call the poster "the weakest link." Manboy would say don't let the door hit you on the way out and beached whale would check other sites looking for a "gotcha" to use against the OP.

That's what ill equipped, incompetent, backward people do. It makes them feel good...gives them a purpose.

None of that here.

Its one thing to be a pompous ass if you have the intellect to back it up.....but in his case....geez

 

Anyone have any idea where 1BB/ Benbackoff went? Seems strange someone so opinionated and willing to stick up for people he saw as wronged would just disappear from the net. I really wish he would come here. He added some good BJ info and would agree with much of the debate here about WoV.

 

And Beethoven9th. Both at times made my moderating harder than I wanted it to be, but the member side of me enjoyed them both (usually) and sometimes even highly. It'd be fun to read and interact with them again.

 

did anyone ever think LP9 was B9. I suspected that with no evidence....just by his demeanor and his tone. I never said anything while he was here...because if he wants to start a new life with a new name, I wasnt going to deny him that. So I just didnt comment.

 

They seemed similar and both did have the "9" thing going. I don't remember B9 posting much other than arguing, where as 1BB had good BJ info when he wasn't questioning everything the mods did.

 

to answer your question tripled, there once was a website called wizardofodds.com which was and still is the best free website to learn about gaming...from this they spin off wizardofvegas.com which became a very beaurocratic run site which ruled you out if you disagreed with them......so some of the banned people came over here and spoke freely on gaming and their experience on wov.com.....this didnt sit well with a couple of members of wov as they seen to think the world revolves around them....we'll call them, for the sake of argument, the retards and dickheads.......so now, as you can see, these retards and dickheads are over here trying to impart their importance which of course they don't have any.....they have said many times that this is my last post but we are not so lucky as they are still here.....stay tuned.
