That is just ridiculous, lose against a 6 or 7 streak, one needs to win 7 times before they encounter another 6 or 7 streak just to break even. Back to back streaks of 6 kills it dead, repeating streaks of 6 or 7's in a single shoe, kills it dead. FFS

Avoid any Marty, even a 3 stepper, in all circumstances.

My testing years go showed positive progressions offered no advantage whatsoever, however if you wish to explore, then I suggest consider a positive d'alembert, as this performed better than the rest, I think it's best if you apply a delay with it, to handle the frustration of single wins, as in 1-1-2-3-4-5-6-7- etc.

You also need to consider snaring a simple WWW is 99% against you, it happens when betting long chops or a streak, repeating two's.

    JK I was under the impression the 1 2 4 Paroli .

AS3 a different short 3 step against it with the first win switch to positive progression.

I think Lung Yeh use some kind of D'alembert... 1-1-1.5 etc...

I prefer 3 steps 1-2-4 because I realize getting more than 3 WIAR is hard....

I find getting 3WIAR is hard. Two is very doable to me.

I thought you were suggesting a 3 step Marty against AS3 or AS4, positive progressions offer little value IMO, I recall the experienced @Jimske stating the same thing. We've all been there exploring betting positive, usually it is after busting a neg progression.

All depends how you are playing, OLD or FLD will produce lots of WIAR's.

I've travelled down this road over about 15 years ago, tested a hundred "real world" shoes. The results were decent.

Using columns of 3 and betting FLD across all three rows using a positive D'Aalembert. After a crushing losing session, I finally dusted it off and tried it live. It's one thing doing kitchen table testing and totally different kettle of fish risking real money.

First two shoes I got nowhere, maybe down a few units, the third shoe I caught a good run of consecutive wins, and this is where human nature kicks in. Rather than continuing adding to my bet amount, due to struggling with the first two shoes, I balked and took the small profit which I had. when you have say won a bet of 20 chips, so you have 40 in front of you, you maybe don't want to now bet (whatever the next bet should be).

Some are fearless, there used to be a Greek guy at my local who loved repeating two's, he would follow and parlay them to the hilt, 6 winning bets starting with a £100 chip, but the guy never took anything off, it was crazy to watch, everybody telling him, take some down, he said no, one more, it would come in, take it down after he hit the table max of £2k, turning £100 into over £3k within 10 mins. He eventually got barred as the casino told him he had a gambling problem and they had a responsibility of care, they do these sort of things over here. nice fella otherwise.

I still find OLD or FLD to be difficult to consistently win 3IAR. 2IAR? Of course. Very regularly.

Garfield - have you tried in-play trading? using a betting exchange like Smarkets, Betfair, Betdaq, and Matchbook.
Or did you just bet like regular punters?

    Cheers

Theoretically, if singles occures the most, then OLD is the most favorable while FLD will be the least....

But some of my biggest loss in the past was betting against a streak....

I see this a lot, players losing betting against streaks, last week an over confident Chinese player betting 3k every hand against a P7 streak. What a lot of players don't realise is that you have to apply the brakes, you can't let a single dragon clean you out. AS3 or AS4, you take 3 bites betting against it, then let it go, too many players keep going and going.

I've done it myself, lose three bets, the streak has gone to 10, so you come back in and start against. My first approach to playing Baccarat was AS4 walking around over 12 tables, which was positive after 3 months of play.

OLD is volatile as anything, again 3 losses stop and wait, expect your chip stack to be up and down like a yoyo.

    Negative progression was a Fibonacci.

There is no way he was betting in exchanges you should figure that with your experience
because he wrote he does not like to rely on other's performance....
    No offense:)

As I've said I just play the roads. Tofay after wwwwLwwwwwwwwL I get the next shoe shown below.

There was no bets for me except bets against the 8th 9th and 10th for P for LLL. I get the win after the Bank run ends some time later and proceed to get 4 more losses in a row! I should have left but pushed on for my www and just quit seeing nothing and lost 3 units. After that 16 Bank there was really nothing for my style but I felt invincible!

The long Bank annoyed me. LOL
