I don't disagree with the Dr. that you need to increase the accuracy of your bet selection in order to make a progression work. Progression and BS working in tandem are what's required (and Bombus has already mentioned this). But even a 'blind' progression can take you a long way. You don't need to improve the BS so much that it wins flat betting; it just needs to be good enough so that it eliminates the 'runs from hell'. The progression takes care of the profit. In that case you haven't 'overcome' the house edge so you're still playing a negative expectation game. The trouble is that people think that progression = martingale or some simplistic variation of it. They just haven't put in the thought, experimentation and research that's required (and they won't, if they're already convinced it's a 'highway to nowhere').

The video shows that outcomes are predictable within a window of fluctuations. And it isn't necessary to commit the gambler's fallacy in order to 'use' the law of large numbers to your advantage; you just need to know the probabilities (and the variances). A progression fills in the gaps left by the errors in the bet selection, and if carefully constructed (based on research) need not even approach the house limits.

You guys are fishing in the sea of the gambler's fallacy. Also, the law of large numbers will not help anyone win at roulette.

    Opinion.
I pointed out already how this has nothing to do with Gambler's Fallacy and in the other thread how the so called "Law of large numbers" everyone points to as being the reason why things aren't possible - state that the very things I am talking about "are" possible. So it is your opinion.

By the way, the APs guys rely on probability. Especially bias wheel players. If probability is meaningless how could they know that a wheel was biased and to a degree worth betting on? To say that probabilities (which depend on the law of large numbers) are useless to system players but necessary for Advantage players seems like a case of double standards.

edit: weird. I made a longer post before this one and got a message saying it had to be approved first, yet this one didn't?

    Still discussing roulette with him?

An uphill battle that will never be won. Waste of timeeeeeee. Surprised he is still crawling around here and not on an AP forum.

Discussing roulette with Caleb is the equivalent to "im right your wrong nanny nanny poo poo"

How can I love this. Is there a love button

A progression and system to work in tandem to elimate the RFH. Finding that BS could be tough

A progression can work if you are willing to invest the time and energy to develop a working strategy

Hey Turncoat Turner, we all admire how you defend convicted felons. (rofl)

Quick quick, back to RF....I think a new thread just popped up >> How to properly park your car at the mall OR WAS IT?.......Lets talk about space aliens living in Canada.

Yep folks, lots of good info regarding roulette there. Slowly slowly, the ship goes down. :)

    Ghost,

A gambling friend and I think we have seen you at the casino. Do you by chance have a New York tattoo or a Florida tattoo?
