I want to forget about my cancer for a day and have fun while I am still able to get around.
I personally gamble for too many reasons to mention. Deep reasons. Character, psyche, excitement, fun and ego all play a big role in the gambling phenomenon.
This documentary really shook me when I first saw it:
Btw, how are you doing Anna?
I gamble because it is stimulating.
A low key rush, win or lose.
Good thing I have the discipline and funds to surf the wave and avoid wipeout.
I gamble just to have fun and stimulate mind-work. I think gambling without a system or, put it simple, brainless gambling is a lost cause.
So, when I'm in the casino, placing bets, drinking my pina-colada and ever thinking on a better way to have an upper hand on the casino - I'm having fun.
Everyone has their own reasons for gambling like for fun, entertainment, trying out their luck, forget their worries & work stress, etc.
I gamble to beat a game that is said to be unbeatable. It's the challenge that attracts my interest the most. I have found that the worst obstacle is myself. In Rock climbing you must learn how to relax your mind. In gambling you must keep your focus on winning. There's plenty of evidence regarding chemical changes that occur in problem gambling. We all must deal with this one way or another. You can win all the time if you will just let yourself win. Sometimes quitting with just a little below breaking even is a huge win. It all comes down to you.
Why are these old threads alerting me? I got sucked into another one.
