"Wagers" in this case is ATS (against the spread), which is the common American context. I would have said ATS, but that is understood and implicit in American parlance.

Examples of consecutive wins NOT ATS would be irrelevant to what I said. Oklahoma won 50-some in the 1950's. UCLA won 88 hoops games in a row. These are simply winning streaks with no spread.

Maybe Punkcity was referring to soccer when I said "football." Or maybe Punkcity doesn't grasp how American football gambling works. Since MDawg is American, and my comparison was with MDawg, I didn't think I had to be culture specific when talking about winning 60 consecutive football wagers. Or perhaps Punkcity is so invested in the idea that he was somehow correct that someone won 60 football wagers in a row, he's making a really defensive, bizarre, lame, after-the-fact convoluted argument.

Punk is almost certainly wrong, of course.

If you were thinking about soccer or something, that really is not relevant.

I would like everyone to appreciate how I've lowered the bar for Punk's defense of the unlikely. Sixty ATS games in a row is a quadrillion to one scenario. Thirty in a row is just a billion to one.

Now since I have seen 20-some in a row ATS happen, and actually won 17 in a row myself once in a public contest, 30 in a row is not impossible. Just a billion to one.

Should be easy peasie. I'll check back each month to see if Punk came up with some solid evidence. Should be fun.
