I was a small-time bookie many years ago. One guy went 3 wins vs 45 losses before going bust (all flat bets, college and pro football).

 

years ago we were in a football pool and with about three weeks left my buddy was hopelessly out of it.....but there was a booby prize for last place so he made all his picks and reversed them......went 12 and 2.

 

This guy is streaky but when he starts on one of his losing runs he loses big time

 

Why did you get out?

 

I have accumulated a pretty decent net worth from stock market investments. And I was always concerned that if I was ever busted, the government may seize everything assuming it came from bookmaking.
