Misc WizardOfVegas Forum is Dying

Tell freddy I broke my non-posting at WoV because there was a thread started about MacArthur grants and IQs that was so goddamn stupid I couldn't allow its stupidity to go unchallenged. I cannot believe the Wizard did not correct the poster immediately. At some point, when people say really dumbass things, they should be set straight, even if doing so insults them in some way.

Yes, the Wizard's forum is now officially fucked. Not worth even a visit. This one is swinging back into another round of censored non-censorship. Lol, who waits a minute to get between pages, etc?

 

When I quit drinking, at the age of 64, I had never been to a doctor in my life for a health reason so certainly never had any advice from a doctor. The heart attack was my first contact with doctors and I had quit drinking 2 1/2 years before that. Someone needs to "bitch slap" your ass back into reality, oopsyousuckeditagain.

 

Say what you want, but, I never asked any moderator et al to do my "bitch slapping", for me.

Thanks for your details reply. This Spike cat has changed quite a lot since the days of Gamblers Glen .

There he only talked about his roulette wheel he had purchased and set up for practice spins etc .

 

I have a simple -- are you allowed profanity here? I have a simple fucking question. Why don't mickey, kewlJ, and whoever else takes gambling seriously, and enjoys forums, band together and start a semi-private site with its own forum? It costs almost nothing to start up a site. The main forum problem is that your host is supposed to be beholden to various federal rules, so if you have a forum, you need to occasionally monitor it. Although Witteles' forum, one would think, should get him in deep trouble with the host system. I bet half the guys at VCT or Wizard would occasionally donate a few bucks to get out from under the garbage.

You could vet the people so you don't get junk math.

Anyway, just a thought. Really, I'd trust a mickey/kewlJ tandem as moderators as long as they stuck to gambling. Boz could be a reasonable gambling moderator, too, one would think.

Edit: Forgot to add this about mdog persona. While the dogs novels were interesting for maybe 2 visits, I see absolutely no warrant for the personal attacks against that mdog or even any kind of negative response. There's nothing objectionable at all about the stories. It doesn't matter if they're true or not. However, due to the fact that they are very repetitive I don't see that member being much of a draw at all and doesn't induce me to return there just to read that thread. I don't speak for anyone else.

How could you be so cruel? How could you make that post so soon after that unthinkable night where 60 innocent people were 'taken out' forever and 411 others were wounded? Do you still advocate mass murder, Nate?

Were you incarcerated for the last 6 months? Committed? I sincerely hope you got help dealing with your demons during your abrupt forum disappearance and subsequence absence.

Which is the reason that if you are going to have an uncensored board, then you should have an uncensored board. At least a reason to ask the poster, before leaping to totally unfounded conclusions. Like sending someone to "jail", without a trial.
