dont forget Mr V hurling an insult at Alan M, and being spared suspension because Alan M "chose" to take it as an insult.

So in this case, a member in good standing is chased away via insults, and the mods just smile, and wait for a better incident to level punishment, like "alleged welching on a bet" or "violating a truce",

this is why the member visits are sharply down. who wants to submit themselves to inconsistent punishment.

 

Member visits have been the same and has been explained to you. But keep whining. You're a laughing stock!

 

Can any of this be proven? I thought there was a website that monitored traffic. Alexa? If you can get a monthly breakdown and go back in time, we could find out for sure if traffic is down, and how Zuga's gamble in buying the site is working out.

 

I dont know about"traffic". I always talk about member visits. Back when I used to be able to post there, the last time of the night I would visit, was 9 pm pacific Time.(midnight eastern). The member number of visits were usually 280-285, and I would look to see if it would ever get over 300. It was like I was rooting for it to go over 300. I dont know why. maybe its because I wanted to be involved in a thriving message board....the more the merrier as far as I was concerned.
So now at the same time of day it averages around 215-225

So the apologists say...well thats because people have in unison all changed their settings to being invisible.

Yes there is such a setting, and I am sure people use it.

Its like going to the local supermarket and wearing a disguise, so no one can know you visited the business. But not just one person.....its like 20 percent of the daily customers wear the disguise

I guess for paranoid folks, thats the way to go.

 

The visits are down and it's having a ripple effect. The board is bland after the most interesting posters have been banned. What you have left are the likes of Wizard of Nothing, TwoFeathers and Buzzard (yes Buzzard is still around) who contribute nothing. These goofs are allowed to hijack every thread they post in. Read some of their gibberish if you can stomach it.

Why do I mention highjacking? DMSCR just got 3 days for "hijacking" from guess who. Poor manboy. He must be so frustrated. Somebody find him a "model" - quick. No favoritism at all. Just business as usual at the dysfunctional joke of the internet.

 

its funny, there has been many times that a mod has taken it upon themselves to break off posts from a thread and give them its own thread without punishing someone for "hijacking". They simply announce they have broken off someones comments onto another thread. Seems simple and a logical course of action.

DMSCR doesnt kiss ass, so he gets a different treatment. He gets the punishment course of action.

Just another way for them to thin out the herd some more, reduce patronage, and let zuga's business suffer a slow painful death.

Agree with Larry. DMSCR does not kiss ass, sniff the unicycle seat or do any of the degrading things that many of the schlubs do over there. For that he will never be one of the boys. He did ask why 1bb was banned and the next thing you know he was suspended for the bogus charge of hijacking. Is that the best manboy could do?

Manboy doesn't want to answer that question because he doesn't have an answer. He can't even make up a believable answer. Same with Exoter Kentry, Cena, Larry.......

Hijacking could be applied to every thread in every forum in the universe. I'm not talking about a blatant, deliberate attempt to trash a thread. That's not what this is. This is a misuse of the rules by a bitter former owner to retaliate against people who actually line live normal happy lives. Normal flow of conversation is not hijacking and everyone knows it.

A quick check of the recent posts on WOV shows each and every one of them hijacked multiple times. Many by the mods themselves. Where are the suspensions? I'd tell manboy to man up but, well, you have to be a man to do that. Tell us again how there's no favoritism.

Meanwhile little Axel prattles on about whether the Miata is a gay car. Why is the forum dying again?

KewlJ has completed his 3 day suspension and has posted again much to my disappointment.....until I read the post. He posted that manboy told him couldn't talk about his suspension. "Apparently even in a thread entitled "Discussion about the suspension list," I am not allowed to discuss my suspension". He goes on to say that he will no longer participate on the board because of manboy's censorship.

Another valuable asset has just told Shackleford to shove it. Good for him.

Stick to your guns, KewlJ. It was always one sided with you making informative posts that you just can't find anywhere and getting nothing but grief and harassment in return. The membership is up in arms over this as they should be. They are calling out manboy to explain why yet another very valuable member has been driven away.

The only one agreeing with manboy is little Axel but he doesn't understand. He thinks this is about running in the hallway or a kid getting his lunch money stolen by an eighth grader. Some please explain it to him.

It may be tempting, KewlJ, but don't go back. You left with your self respect intact. Manboy is so smug that he doesn't care about you or anyone else.

Another wake up call for Zuga whose lack of oversight sends the very clear message that WOV is sinking faster than we thought. Women and children first.

In a very nice way Kewlj exposed the manboy wiz as someone who is not interested in treating the site as a business nor interested in treating posters as valued customers.
I have been saying this all along, and here is just some more proof...in his parting words he backs up everything I have said.

Manboy wiz was interested more in administering punishment than to grow the business. So what does he care about doing things to grow a business that he now longer owns. He got his money. And zuga continues to let someone with no real skin in the game to call the shots.

All the wiz had to do was tell the poster that returned after 6 years "Kewlj is a valued customer and has made great contributions to this business while you have been away for 6 years, so try to play nice"

the manboy wiz has verified what I have said all along, with his petty suspensions, and uneven administration of punishment.

He has said in the past that he was ready to suspend because he was in a bad mood. So using the board as his method to cope with his troubling life is by his own admission reality. We dont even have to suppose.

He was told he couldnt discuss his supsnesion on a thread devoted to that topic. Why do you suppose. Could it be that if allowed to be discussed, the manboy would have no defense for treating a well articulated valued customer like disposable trash.

People with self respect, when treated like crap.......walk away from posting on that site, and avoid contribution to the business.

You all should go read the interactions of KJ and QFIT (Norm) on Norm's Blackjacktheforum.com. Norm and others ran KJ off of there.

Kewlj was valued by other members on wov for 5 years running. He donated his time and effort and was repaid for it by management with a suspension that didnt have to be.

It seems management of wov loves to "run people off" as you put it.

they "run people off" either by nuking, or by making life miserable for people.
