Can't drink whiskey anymore gives me heartburn. All I drink now is rum. I learned how to drink and like the hard stuff when I had the bar. I never mix it with anything. It's too bad because I really liked whiskey but rum is okay.

Yes have to agree, I have had on a number of occasions been asked when was the last time I ate, I would have to think sometimes and realise I had forgotten for a couple of days. I actually thought I was the only one that did this. Friends found it inconceivable that anyone could forget to eat for a couple of days. They become concerned I was developing a eating disorder. I almost believed them at one stage. But like you said I was very busy at those particular time also. happy new year. Cheers
The Keto diet is just sensible eating. Add some daily Natto for next level super food consumption, it's awesome.
I first did the keto diet when it was called Atkins in the early seventies. My doctor said do not do it because it will kill you. I lost 40 lb and he fired me as a patient because I did not listen to him. He said he did not want to be responsible for what happened to me going low carb. The wisdom he was taught in medical school in the 1940s was high carb low-fat, high-fat low-carb to him meant death. So he fired me.
Same here. Once I'm fat adapted, it might be a one meal a day for me sometimes. Couple of days?? What's the longest fast you have done? I have gone 36 hours once. Would love to go longer Anyone got any tricks to get back into keto if they overdid it during the holidays lol Or would the best idea be fasting with some salt to hopefully keep headaches down. Adkins wasn't keto was it? Keto focuses on fat intake. Adkins is just low carb and don't care about protein I think. I mean they are close, but enough protein and your body can get glucose.. kicking you out of ketosis.
Atkins is high fat low carb. The current form of Atkins allows more carb then a regular keto diet does.
Atkins doesn't care about anything, he died years ago when he tripped and fell in the winter in New York City and hit the back of his head on the curb. The doctor who fired me as a patient in the 70s hated Atkins guts. He called him a criminal and said he was going to be responsible for thousands of deaths and he should be put in prison. That's how much against a low-carb diet the medical profession was in those days. They were not even against eating sugar which has absolutely zero nutrition value. We did not evolve eating sugar and our bodies don't know what to do with it except cause bad things to happen. Like diabetes, rotting teeth, it ruins your immune system. Lots of bad bacteria thrive on sugar.
