MrV, you don't know Alan we'll enuf to be analyzing his life. You're only making dumb guesses to fulfill your roll of being an instigator.

Nobody here or anywhere knows the limits that Alan plays since moving to LV. You people LIKE to think you do because for some reason, making him appear to be broke makes you feel better about yourselves. But your guesses aren't even bound by sensibility.

Common sense says he plays low limits these days BECAUSE HE ISN'T WORKING FULL TIME. And contrary to the wishful scenario you, kew, redietz, and other anonymous cowards put forth, he isn't constantly throwing his retirement money into the machines. When he was making lots of money working in LA he ran back and forth to LV and Rincon frequently. And he may or may not have been a net loser. His constantly trying to keep the ex wives' lawyers from accurately knowing his net worth had to be a lively game....as was his reasons for publicly posting that he lost all the time. Would YOU be stupid enough to show $100k winners on a public forum and say you went home up $92k?

Sure, kew has his usual little hard-on for Alan because Alan's the one who made him look like an idiotic fool over his counting two tables nonsense. But it didn't take that embarrassment to prove what EVERYONE already knew--kews a pathetic serial liar.

    This week's Singer Five:

    Balt -3 over NE
    Tenn +2 over LV
    TB -1.5 over GB
    Mia +5.5 over Buf
    Dal +2.5 over NYG

I see gaming expert kew is showing he's a hypocrite once again. While it's nice to see he's rounding amounts won or lost (also incorrect because I forgot to say that I put and will keep putting $100 each week on my 5-teams parlay), he again ignores his constant forum BS by pretending my "short-term" results are more meaningful than what my long-term results will be.

    That's a liar for ya!

Rob, I seem to recall Alan's son posted things at VCT that would seem to support someone in concluding Alan had a gambling problem.

But I took it with a grain of salt: only one piece of evidence, not definitive.

Alan admits he has decreased his bets due to having less current income: that is definitive.

He and I are both now retired and unlike him I have increased my average bets from what they were when I was working, and to fund my gambling I have never touched my bank accounts, IRA's, mutual funds etc.; hell, I've never used an ATM in my life, nor a debit card.

I wish Alan health, happiness and happy variance.

We each approach and live life in our own way.

Here's that link to my offshore contest standings.

    Offshore Contest Results (vegascasinotalk.com)

I should probably give it its own thread here. It's an extraordinarily difficult week, so I'll probably wait until next week to do that. I may bomb out and get knocked out of contention. No sense starting a thread about losing.

For the record, a 4-6 start for Singer isn't the end of the world. It's the end of 68% malarkey, but it's not that bad. What was wild was watching his two primetime Monday night games get torched by a 65-14 count. That was a real rarity. Or, as Fonzie would say, somebody was....

Alan's son posted that stuff because he was having a work beef with Alan, so when Alan withheld thousands of dollars pay because of it until they finished working it out, his son got angry and chose to use lies on VCT to be vindictive. As expected, it all worked out in the end....other than the few buffoons here who continue on by saying and hoping Alan is and was some sort of "problem gambler".

Yes everyone does things a little differently. Alan lowered his limits upon retirement, you raised yours, and I've been all over the map until I hit the $1.5mil. Now, it's no higher than dollars for me since nothing at any level would be quite as thrilling. Does he touch his savings? Kew says he does because kew's a moron who lies day and night so it'll make him feel better (imagine having a life so unsatisfying that he needs to LIE about others in order to cope with his sad life?) You don't touch yours. I may or may not touch mine as we withdraw quite a bit for all the travel we do, etc.

Bottom line: Alan knows his stuff when he travels the forums planting ideas into the usual suspects' heads so that long discussions and ensuing arguments arise. As such, anyone who claims to know anyone else's levels of anything without actually walking in their shoes, is either guessing, presenting wishful thinking, spoofing, or outright lying.

I'll never understand why you always bring up these "contests" you say you did well in after the games are played. Are these selective? Are you getting killed elsewhere?

If you'll notice, I play in the same contests year after year. Go check last year's VCT thread regarding contests. Same contests. Anybody with accounts on those sites can see the standings. Year after year.

Why do you insist on posting about things you know nothing about? What does "Are these selective?" even mean?

And if you'll notice, I gave out a week's worth of baseball plays at VCT this year. The week finished between 7 1/2 and 8 1/2 units above .500, depending on your number for one game. And then I gave out a futures recommendation -- the Guardians at +850 and +900 to win the division.

Basically, you don't know what you're talking about, which is nothing new. Have fun getting to .500, Rob. Enjoy the journey. And don't be shy with those parlays. Why stop at one parlay a week? Why don't you fire away with a bunch of them? You know what you're doing, right?

Enjoy the road to 68%, oops, I mean 50. I'm glad it's in public, so you can really enjoy your public demonstration of Argentino expertise. Best of luck.

And no quitting. Winners never quit. LOL.

Anybody who claims to have won 68% of their games ATS in the NFL for two years, picking five games a week, is a liar, first of all and second, really a maroon for thinking he could sell that bullshit publicly.

Some people like to pretend, I guess. Pretend they know how to gamble. Pretend they win. Pretend, pretend, pretend.

I didn't expect to hit a nerve, and even then, you deflected away from the question.

I'll spell it out for you: you tell people about successful contests and results/standings in the past. So explain how anyone knows you haven't experienced five times that in losing contests, tournaments, picks etc. within the same timeframes.

You like to pound your chest--Bidenesque. You look lost whenever you try to criticize others who do things differently than you. Don't like parlays? Maybe because you're not very good at them? I'm probably over $40k ahead net on the very few I've ever bet. I got real lucky once, and I'll go to the grave being ahead 5 figures on them. That's all it takes with disciplined gambling.

I don't know what I'm doing? Do you?

Here's a suggestion. Learn to read. If they're the same contests year after year, then you're not cherry-picking results.

I mean, really. Learn to read. Check the VCT contest threads from last year and previous years.

I don't mean to be harsh, but you are a clearcut fraud. Why don't you just be a man and state clearly that you lied regarding your 68% nonsense for two years at the LVA forum? Just state that you lied.

There's no LVA posts adding up a 68% Rob Singer record for two years picking five games a week in the NFL, against the spread. You never did that. You said you did. You lied. Just spell it out for the forum readers how you were misrepresenting yourself and scamming them regarding your history.

The annual published "Tipsters or Gypsters?" in Las Vegas didn't allow multiple realities. They published one reality, year after year. The Wise Guys Contest was one reality, year after year, for 30 years.

In the real world of handicapping, you don't get to spout that you hit 68% ATS in the NFL for two years. That's a crock. That's like counting 10 tables simultaneously. It's a joke. Only you didn't realize what a joke it was when you posted it here in black and white. That's how blitheringly stupid you are.

Welcome to reality Mr. Singer. Enjoy the ride. Go get that 68%, baby. Or 50. Whatever works.

Singer can post away. I'll check in with updates to the contests I'm in every month or so. Hopefully Singer grinds out a full season on public display.

Just be careful when he starts touting parlays as his catch-up mechanism. If you're betting his games, don't bet parlays. If you're betting against his games -- Ozzy, this means you -- don't parlay against them, either. I know you almost won this week with a parlay against him. But parlays are dumb bets.

And finally, Rob is correct in one sense. I have not reported the TopBet NFL Pick 'Em Contest for previous years. Until this year, they sponsored just a Survivor Contest, not a Pick 'Em. But this year they added an NFL Pick 'Em Contest. They have around 1300 entrants.

Good handicapping, folks. And unless you're getting special odds or a special deal to use promo money, don't bet parlays. If anyone wants to send Rob some encouraging notes, contact me and I'll provide his address. He might need a fan club as the season wears on.

More deflection. There are far more available contests and tournaments available than the few you cherry-picked to showcase. How do you fare on those? And because you sell picks you use that as a cover for not posting any of them BEFORE the games are played.

You're lying when you claim I didn't attain 68%. And your hard-on over parlays is silly. I bet for fun and not to satisfy some strange sports betting neurosis like you do all the time. Parlays are just another low-risk sports bet to me. Very easily done online in Az. these days. I picked up over $8000 profit last year with all the sign up bonuses they threw at us last year. Kew thinks $260 is a lot of bread :)

So let me get this straight. You're saying that, somehow, I'm in gazillions of competitions, but I feature only those each year in which I do well, and those happen to be the same ones each year. And I do that after a couple of weeks because I just happen to know I'll keep doing well in some contests while sucking in others? How does that work? I'm psychic? LOL.

I report after a few weeks that I'm doing well, in the same ones each year mind you, and then people can follow me all year long. Despite doing poorly in all of those I haven't reported after two weeks, I somehow continue to do well the rest of the season in those I do mention while, what, continuing to do badly in the myriad others?

And despite the contests being all pretty similar, somehow each year I do well in the same ones while bombing out in ones I never mention. And I somehow know I'll keep doing well in the ones I do mention, because I clue people in after two weeks. And this is all because I can foretell the future? I suck at handicapping, but I somehow know in advance which contests in which I'll do well?

Do you have any idea how ridiculous you sound? I just happen to know, in advance, which contests out of an array I'll do well in, and those happen to be the same ones each year, year after year.

And I'm lying when I say you didn't "attain 68%" picking five NFL games per week ATS for two years? Sure I am.

Go get 'em, Rob. Let's see you grind through the season. Put that Argentino skill on display for all to see.

That's the thing, Rob. It's a little tougher when you can't just make stuff up and post it as if it happened. It's a little, teensy tiny bit tougher when you actually have to do it.

Just do it, Rob. Show 'em how smart you are.

You're dancing again. You obviously play far more contests than the usual suspects'. You're addicted to sports betting just like all the other "handicappers" who need to sell picks to make whatever kind of living that is. So you jump on as many of these contests as you possibly can. Saying you do "well" in the same ones every year means nothing when you don't say a word about your picks and why you picked them up front. For all anyone knows, you could be buying THOSE picks yourself.

It's always the same BS with you. Never a thing up front, yet for some odd reason you need a bunch of lowly forums slugs to worship you via the "trust me" & "nothing's available about it on the Internet but Gypsters and Hipsters proves I'm da man from 40 years ago" routes. It all adds up to a very good chance of your being nothing but another one of those obscure sports betting frauds who need other people's money to get by. And if you've paid attention to VCT, I'm not the only one who has that opinion of you. No wonder you bounce around the forums. Make sure to wear your mask.

But I get why you have such a personal interest in MY picks. It's almost worth it to watch you keep coming apart at the seams over the mere POSSIBILITY that I might attain 68%--or horror of horrors, something close to it!

That's likely why Billy Walters hired me in 2002. Makes sense. He just doesn't know any better. Probably got my name out of a gumball machine.

Now let me get your logic correct, here. Tell me if I'm wrong. I enter gazillions of contests, and the fact that I keep doing well in the same ones whose standings are available to any site members means I'm cherry picking my results. And the fact that these are the same contests year after year is irrelevant. And the fact I report results after two weeks also means I'm cherry-picking results. So I should therefore fall immediately out of contention in the upcoming weeks because I cherry picked results and have no actual skill.

    Sounds about right.

Well, I should be falling out of contention pretty damned fast, then. I guess we'll see.

Meanwhile, the fact that Argentino is losing money based on his own tally is, he says, meaningless. Because he can afford it. Very cool. Keep chugging along, Rob. Parlays are the way to go, baby.

Have fun in the handicapping limelight. Enjoy the burn.

You just made my point--which is very embarrassing for you.

So you report your results AFTER the games are played in the contests you claim to have done well on. Please splain why you never post your picks ON THESE SAME CONTESTS before the games are played! You know what that means? Yup--you wouldn't need to be lying your way thru your so-called "expertise in sports betting" right now. And you wouldn't have to keep on getting humiliated

That's just a link to what you reported on VCT, it's not a link to contest results posted by whoever runs the contests.

It's not clear that any other members consider your reportings to be truthful.

Is there any way to follow the contests at the sites you included without opening an account at those sites?

You need a loan, coach? If you send me your address and a promise to open accounts, I'll ship you $50 for each site. With the caveat that you accurately report the standings each week.
